I Miss This Ian Compton

I'm sure someone else will agree with me, I'm sorry I'm a big fan of the idea that freeskiing is whatever you want it to be but for me the Weak, is WEAK. His new style is wack, I respect what he does and his mentality, just I liked his old style/way of skiing way better.

His style of skiing is very similar to it is now, he's just gotten even more fluent then he was and isn't wearing xxxxxxxxxl tall tees. So really you are missing his baggy clothing.

chompton's style is fine how it is now. It's gotten so much cleaner. It looks like he's the guy having the most fun on the mountain in any edit he's in

I disagree. His style stands out now; it's original. There are tons of guys who ski just like this, and it's hard to tell most apart. That being said, Ian has always been killing it, thuggin' or not.

I love his new style! I just miss him pretending to be all thug by throwing empty coffee cups out the window and stupid stuff like that.

his style is just super clean in this. honestly, it just looks like he's actually being serious in this video.

Honestly I think Ian has gotten better than he was before and he's smoother, but hey it's your opinion

ha. theres no question the video op posted shows ian throwing way more tech tricks than anything in the weak so i dont really know what you mean "better"

from what I see his style hasnt really changed and the only difference is he does more trendy tricks now. trendy tricks FTL but if youre an innovator which compton is; i guess thats pretty cool

I should have said that clearer, by "better" I meant he has changed his style to his own original one and I personally like it better when people have their original style

Kids like you amaze me. Let the kid ski and progress however he wants. Let me guess, you liked him a little better in those days because he wore baggier clothing? Tool bag.

I agree, haven't been impressed with any of his skiing lately. But I guess I'm happy for him that he's doing his thing..

cole has one of the best rail styles in the game... right now. Yes him and ian are doing more tech tricks in both those edits, then they are doing in recent ones and i bet they could still switchup like a ballerina. They are being creative in their style and skiing NOW and its sick i don't know what y'all talking about. I think they are two of the more stylish skiers in the rail game

I like Ian's style. In fact, the ONLY thing I don't like is how he one-foots everything. That annoys me.

I like his old antics he used to do in previous seasons of traveling circus (see seasons 2 and 3) but his style I like much more now.

He does have some kick on some outdoor redneck (kinda like a midlife crisis for a twenty year old), but if thats where he is at, and that is where his life/ skiing has taken him I support that move. He's a solid skier and a great guy to watch do his thing. Keep on living life Ian.

compton these days is like everyone whos trying to be "different"

OG compton with 9s and baggy clothing was much more of the, I dont give a fuck type skier which i have come to appreciate in recent years. Hes so similar now to a classic hipster 1 footing and nose tapping his way into extra medium contracts with different ski companies. The ski industry has already reached max capacity of tight pants kids who claim to all be different, but really couldnt be any more the same.

I have no problem with his newer style but you gotta admit this was sick too:

note that in the older two edits, ian and cole both dressed baggy and rode afterbangs. now they both dress more fitted and ride chronics.

not an opinion, just an observation.

oh what, so he can look like literally everybody else in the park? i appreciate him and tc for not sticking to the typical park stuff, as well as not taking themselves or the sport too seriously.

this, just because he isn't wearing xxxxl jiberish and acting like a thug, that makes him wack? i applaud his originality and style

props to both cole and ian they are sooo much more original and different now. personally i think what they're doing is awesome and just bringing on a more cleaner style of skiing. don't get me wrong im a full supporter of bdogs 4xl hoodies but i think there's becoming two sides of style skiing, there's the ian's and cole's and the bdogs and edollos, both equally sick just different from each other
