I made a site that lets you calculate the CO2 emission of your ski season. Happy Earth Day!

You should make the mpg minimum a little lower. I drive a Cummins V12 twin turbo. Thing gets gallons per mile. Shit sounds like Perry the platypus. Sounds like Chewbacca snoring

cmon now.

Can you make one that calculates how many fent dabs I can take before being physically removed from Encore Casino by security?

Got 1.47 tons of CO2 emissions, 60 days riding chairs is apparently 1 ton since my car usage was .47 tons

Can't deny this seems a little bit high considering I bought roughly 552 lbs of gas during the year.

3.3 Tons with 125 bus accessed days :/ But I suppose based on other comments my 150+ days of lift serviced skiing isn't great for the planet.

Thats a lot of gas. Dude must be zooted as fuck 24/7. Jokes aside gallons makes more sense to me than pounds. Density could possibly be different though marginally. Idk, I drive an ev.

Thats goofy as hell. I got 1.09 and also drive an EV.

Also for the resort emissions thing, I aint changing the fact that the lifts will be running every day. I should only worry about what I can control. ie driving emissions. 0.03 tonnes.

Not my car, next winter i will drive car that's pinnacle of German engineering (om606) Plus energy for charging came mostly from wind or water or nuclear power. It's lot cheaper than gas with the prices we have here(around 8$/gal)

Installing a Tesla powerwall and solar panels to charge my model y. So 100% of my charge will come from the sun. Zero fossil fuel.

can’t say the same for my Sti.

Remember the mass in CO2 is a combination of Carbon from the burning of fossil fuels and Oxygen from the air. So burning 1 pound of gas will make like ~3 pounds of CO2

Don't own a Tesla because I don't want to be arrested for publicly brandishing a bomb.

You don’t own a Tesla because you can afford a Tesla. Let’s be super clear about that. Lmao

Since I know reading is too much for your smooth brain I’ll just post the highlights pointing out how ignorant you actually are. How does it feel to me wrong on so many levels?

Comprehensive data now shows EVs are much less likely to burst into flames than internal combustion engine vehicles, according to experts.

The scare about EV fires was whipped up by media coverage showing various expensive Teslas going up in flames after accidents, or for no particular reason. The implication was that this was somehow typical of EVs. The data now shows this isn’t the case, yet. The trouble is it would take a lot to make an ICE car in flames a headline story. “ICE Car Fire Sets White House Alight” might do it.

The overall arching takeaway (from the data) is that the rate of fires happening is less for EVs than petrol or diesel cars, and quite substantially,” said James Edmondson, Research Director at Cambridge, England-based independent researcher IDTechEx in an interview.

Edmondson said various surveys showed EVs represented far less of the reported fires than might be expected given their market share. Estimates by the Phosphorous, Inorganic & Nitrogen Flame Retardants Association reported 55 fires per billion miles travelled in ICE vehicles and five fires per billion for EVs. A report from AutoinsuranceEX said EVs exhibited 61 times fewer fires per 100,000 sales than ICE vehicles.

Tesla has reported that between 2012 and 2021 there was approximately one Tesla vehicle fire for every 210 million miles travelled. This includes fires that did not originate in the vehicle, like arson, structure fires etc. According to the National Fire Protection Association, the national average in the U.S. was one fire per 19 million miles travelled. This suggests Tesla’s EVs are 11 times less likely to catch fire than the average car,” Edmondson said”

YOU cannot afford a Rivian. Lmao. Yes I’ll go be poor in my house with my sti, my Volvo and my Tesla. Lmao. Nice job recycling my meme from the post where you complain about the cost of skis. Mr Rivian. Lmao

I live within walking distance to the base of my home mountain and I still got 4.82 tons or 182% above average. One heli trip doubled it for me.

To be fair, the lifts are turning whether I'm skiing or not, so I refuse to take 100% of the blame for my 100ish days in-resort.

Why do you have so many cars? There is 4 cars on our driveway, but we have 4 people with license. Personally i would rather have 1 nice car instead of 3 cars.

The sti is a 2011. Last year of the wagon. It’s paid off and doesn’t get driven as much. Just over 32k miles. Have no plans to sell it because there is no plans for a wagon in the future and manuals are falling by the wayside.

the Volvo and Tesla are leases. I daily the Tesla and my gf uses the Volvo. Both are leases so not staying around long term.

the mini is hers, she’s buying it outright and again has no plans to sell it. Final year that mini is producing the manual trans. So similar to the sti we try to keep miles lower on that.

What type of a peasant drives 08-010 Range Rover? That wouldn't pass out here, neighbors Range Rover would be newer and more expensive.

no joke xterras’s were huge for a while back in the day. At least here in Florida. A couple friends had them. Nothing bad to say.

The type of person who got them new in 08 and 10 lol. All those vehicles are long gone. Remember homie I’m 40 so I’ve been around longer. I have a much longer car history than you.

My parents are in their 70’s now so what they drive isn’t their main concern anymore in life. They just want something comfy to get from a to b.

Pops and mom both drive Mercedes GLE’s now. They’re fine. I’m not a huge Mercedes guy in general.

Kewl. That was more of a joke towards miserable life(not saying that's the case with your parents, but with mine) in normal upper-middle class neighborhood. I'll hire someone to kill me if I will end up being the same.

To be fair about the car history i don't even have that. I have a car in my personal usage, but only thing i own about it is the roofbars :D. And i will be driving shitboxes until i find something interesting to study, finish those studies and get a real grown up person job.

You have plenty of years to build up a dope car list. I think you said you’re 17? I could be wrong. At 17 I had a Mitsubishi eclipse. Absolutely nothing special and I worked at Burger King. It was my first job.

All i want and need is a 4WD VW transporter and RS or S4/6

I don't know why but the thing I really like about those is that they blend in with regular traffic, but when start looking at them you can see the small details that makes them different. Loud ass noise usually gives them away first tho.
