I made a dubstep track! Listen;D

I don't know what defines dubstep apart from that it's shit and that it's got a snare on the 3rd beat.

But yeah, 'Heat is pretty much right...
 
Well, this is dubstep. It does not have to be 140 bpm to be a dubstep track.
But I see you point. I made it slower and I'll add a more hardcore and faster wobble, and then its a dubstep track like every other dubstep track.
 
i never said it had to be 140. im just saying i thought it was too fast. dont take it personally dude, its positive criticism =). and no, dont do that. just those synths were a bit overpowering (in my opinion).
 
sounds good dude, 1:10 onwards is dope.

and i dont know if its because im listening to it on laptop speakers, but it seems very midrangey (sp?). add some low freq layers in and it will sound very nice. if you already have, i will kindly gtfo =)
 
i like the 140 better but i think it needs to be heavier in general after the drop. I can hear good stuff but it need to be more defined. it sounds like the whole track is an elongated introduction
 
you dont make it slower...but put it in cut time. that makes it seem slower..plus its all the lead synths in there that make it a lot more progressivy
