For those of you who have seen War you know what I'm talking about. Sure it was pretty funny to see this guy try and ski switch, but should we really be laughing at him?

Younger generations are always complaining about gay racers and old people who dont know shit about newschool skiing. Here is a guy who is 43 and just enjoying himself ripping around the park. Sure, hes not the best park skier, but he sure is better than those retarded old people who you ride up on the chairlift with and say "who he slid that pole with his ski's, i didnt know that was possible".

 
but serioulsy. he deliberatly reverted to swtich so he could ski down to the interview backwards and with no form and horrible style. that deservers a little fun and games
 
^ahaha yeah i understand where ur coming from man, i thought the same thing. He was also skiing drinking a can of pepsi. ahaha but hes still better than 95% of skiers out there.
 
haha it was hilarous, we dont have to worry about one moron thinking hes badass. if you can do a switch nine over a 10 foot jump....that pretty much makes up for it.
 
I was there that day, the guy was funny to watch, I would have filmed him too. I agree with the post and not bashing people who are learning how to ski park...but that guy was really nice (he didn't take himself seriously) and he would love to know that he made it in a ski video. For their (War's) defense it was more like documenting than really making fun.
 
some of my friends dads takes on the biggest jumps in the park, and does 1's 3's and they also slide the smallest boxes.
 
that segment was just about as low as making fun of kids on the run while you're on the chairlift. tons of class that olenick guy has.
 
ya that guy was pretty bad ass for 43. and he was really nice too so they shoudn't have been making fun of him., asshats
 
It wasnt an all out bashing on the guy. He was fucken hilarious. Yeah, he was being serious but it was funny. They never called him any names. All they did was interview him. You can take it however you want to. I think it was fucken hilarious. Then again my favorite last run ritual is to spray snow on every single person who sits in the middle of the runs on their asses. so im kinda a dick.
 
makeing fun of people for sucking at skiing in the park when they are jsut starting out is about the gayest thing u can do. its one thing if the kid is an asshole bu I mean comm on. I have found that there are allot more skier dicks then snowboarder ones to.
 
yeha i got a good laugh out of the segment, but im sure the olenicks didnt mean any harm in it. making fun of people from the chairlift and/or starting in the park is really lame, but they were just having fun, im sur ethe guy will be stoked
 
i'd say it was funny when they impersonated him on the hil, but props to him for skiin switch, it never fails to amaze me when i ski switch at my mountain how everyone just stares as if i was doing flips down the hill
 
I thought it was kind of lame on olenicks part to make fun of some guy out on the hill just having fun...but whatever he also thinks he is black.
 
i saw a vid of him on OLN crocheting on the lift, then he got off and skied down to the park switch while continuing to crochet as he skied.
 
i cant tell if you are being serious or not, but its true man. He's a pro skier and hes pretty much mocking this decent guy whos just out there to have fun like everyone else. I find pete funny sometimes but i think here he went too far.
 
i agree. There is this guy that skis in our park in Killington, he's like 50 or 52, and he's so good for being that old, he can do rails to switch out and stuff, and he's super nice.
 
I sort of felt sorry for him. at least hes having fun. hes 43, his life doesnt revolve around skiing, thus not being able to practice a whole lot. whatever.
