i love downhill bikinnggg

jea i had an amazing weekend

anyways, whooo else loves DH??

well i pretty much just got into dh this summer after going to poland and being around some amazing bikers. so now im back in the states and i have no idea where i can compete, if girls even compete and what the deal with that issss... can anyone inform meee? oh and i live in MA

i love down hilling but i only did it in june and the start of july .. i should get back out there

bikings sick. it is sooo expensive thou, i havent got to ride much this summer, cause just bout everytime i start a ride, it ends up with broken parts and me out 100+ bucks.

yeah I love it too...for the broken parts, it happenned to me before when I went to bromont where the trails are hideous, but since mont-blanc is opened, the only expense I had done is 8$ for new grips

for your racing thing I dunno in the US, but here in quebec there is an organization (fqsc) wich organize races all across the province and girls race too. the winner is the one with most point at the end of the summer.

i couldn't think of a better day during the summer (ok well i can since im skiing in NZ right now) but spending an entire day riding A-line and freight train in whistler....god i love DH

where do you ride?

YES i love dh

im so stoked on biking right now

i live in whistler... therefore i bike in whistler

and it is siiick

and im so stoked on it

I'd love to do more downhilling, but I can only afford one bike--which is going to cost me about $3,500. But it's worth it because biking comes second only to skiing, and it's a close second. Hopefully I'll be doing a little freeriding up at Big Sky in a month or so before they close to get ready for skiing!

dh is so awsome! im so glad i bike because the summer months would be so boring without it. it is definately a close 2nd to skiing for me. and for racing, i believe u have to buy some kind of certificate (about 50 bucks) that will allow u to enter races anywhere. not sure tho.

where do u normaly ride? there are pleanty of places to enter in races and stuff, u should check out diablo freeride park in nj. if u live in ma it shouldn't be too far away. i live in vt and this lil mt by me opens a few times int he summer but they have sick freeride shit, like way better than kilington. u should check it out nextt ime they run their lifts. its this lil shitty mt called bolton vally.

I think I like DH more than skiing now, it's waaaay more expensive but soooo awesome and you can always have a sick time where as skiing I have to drive for hours, the weather might be poo, the snow might be crap but biking is always fun, you can always do it, and my new bike is off the hook, hehe.

im more of a urban/ dj kinda guy right now, but thats just because the only bike i have is a P2, not exactly the best for DH. Im saving up for a new dual tho so il be out there soon enough

Ah it's so much fun but I haven't had the opportunity to do much dh riding. Took a trip to Whistler this summer and a race comming up the 16th at Mt. Snow, but that's about it. Whoever rides Whistler, who loves fucking Goat's Gulley? That is the best trail I have ridden. It was just awsome to cruise down that and take the steepest lines ahhhhh! Just thinking about it gives me a hard on again.

im pretty sure im getting an orange 222

its a dope bike from what i can see but i havent ridden it, so if anyone has and has any feedback, that would be helpfull

I rode today. But i can't believe it, my friend, (who is 14) just bought a 5000 doller bike yesterady. FUCK! VP Free.

I love goats gully! such a tech trail. the jump trails are sick aswell. whistler is soo awsome. it has it all..skiing, biking and umm other stuff that i dont do cuz when im there i either ski or bike. but ya for anyone who wants to start biking i'd suggest to rent a bike and go to a bike park and see how u like it. then u can buy a cheap used bike for around 1500 and go from there.

my buddy used to second in quebec for cross country biking until he discovered weed and skateboarding....

my fav is probably freight train because it goes on forever and then i hit up either dirt merchant or aline after. such a fun run.

Yeah that is a sick run. Especially that cargo box you can jump onto and drop off of. D1 is also a fucking sick trail, the jumps just keep going haha.

i like joyride to shleyer.. with the rock faces ect ect...

but i'd definitly say that garbanzo is the best... it never gets old

Mount snow has a race i think september 17 (www.mountsnow.com).

They have a female divison (beginer sport expert)It will be my first race since i got fucked up at killington, just got the ok to ride a few days ago.

Join www.bustedspoke.com For newengland riding, you said you lived in Mass.

good luck and hope to see you at the races.

Gosh, I love DH. I can only afford it once a year in whistler, since it's like 150 bucks a day, but it is soooo fucking worth it. On my annual day of riding I broke my ankle very stupidly on the very last jump in the park, but it was still bomb and worth it. Gotta get about 2500 bucks and buy a freeride or DH bike by next spring if I can. Anyone ride the north shore? Been there once, and I found it soooo much more technical than Whistler, really intense.

the new scott bikes are out.

the new high-octaine frame is awsome.
