never really been but arn't most of the colorado resorts around 9000ft as well

cham's sick but a bit too freeride orientated, too glaciated for me too- need a guide/local.
 
cham is off the chain, sickest town, Le Choucas is the spot after dark. ohh yeah and the skiing is pretty much the sickest thing ever. Grande Montets is the pimp shit on pow days. don't forget about Agiule du Midi... if you don't know what that is then you shouldn't be skiing in powder period.
 
If you dont love the chamonix terrain you dont really love skiing. It Kicks ass. Very different to a North Americanv Ski resort. The only place I have skied where there was more people off piste than on.
 
Chamonix is pretty rad but too crowded. Grands Montets is tracked in 2 minutes and for the other stuff you need a guide.

There are other resorts in the alps that offer the same ILL conditions with a fraction of the crowd. But still, everyone gotta ride Chamonix at least once.
 
its overrun with english wankers but the terrain is sick- ive done grand montets and les houches- both awesome
 
chamonix is sick. i was there like 2 summers ago so i didn't get to ride, but ive got a friend in lyon that i'm gonna visit next winter and take a few days at cham
 
chamonix is a pow playground, its great, its only a 2 hour fight from edinburgh any weekend me and dad want to go. i skiped so much school this winter because i was out there.
