You know, you cant start drama with that icon. J/k, yea, theyre not that bad. Listened to them for about a year ago for the first time.

My friends band, doubt any of you guys have heard of them (Victory Smokes) are touring with them and say that Shiny Toy Guns are just a bunch of Pre Madona bitches. Never listened to their music, im sure its good though.
 
Hey remember when I listened to them, and my ex-gf at the time thought the songs were funny and bad, and made a point to laugh at my taste in music...and now she obsesses over them, went to one of their shows. That bitch.

Remember when the same thing happened with the Go! Team?
 
You liked shiny toy guns before I heard of them, downloaded their single from iTunes for free, decided they weren't that great and decided not to pursue them any more.
 
All of you guys hate them compared to how much I love them... I was listening to them before I was even conceived in 1990.
 
knowing about a band before everyone else does feels so good, especially when people are impressed that you've heard of them, or you call it and say they are gonna be big. but then it sucks because they get overplayed and too popular, and they arent your little secret anymore.

i was watching follow me around with my friends new years morning, and everyone loved this one song but didnt know what it was. then i said "oh yeah, this is 'dont cry out' by shiny toy guns". yeahhhhhh. so now my friends love my hidden treasure.
 
YUP. everyone gets off on being really abstract with their interests and having all this indie cred, it's wicked lame. liking music no one else likes it one thing, but it's all about sharing the music not getting your briefs in a bunch because you like a band on the radio! oh my god -1 indie cred you suck! know a good band that's somewhat unheard of? tell people about them, play their music.... why do people want to keep good things a secret? (other than so they can think they are better) if everything good in life was kept a secret we'd probably not even have electricity and if we did we'd still be listening to everything in mono.
 
i know this is an old post, but wolfmother is basically the worst band ever. theyre fucking terrible. and this thread is terrible shiny toy guns blows, and are mainstream as hell.
 
Lol way to quote a post from 2007.......And Wolfmother isn't that bad IMO. There is shitty mainsrem music out there. I fucking hate 98% of music now days anyways.

wolfmother pisses me off because theyre a generic, shitty form of the kind of music i listen too, so kids are all like "man, i love stoner-metal, woldmother's awesome"and it makes me anna punch a baby
