I like the new design

I likey too.

Something I noticed just now: the "inbox" thing is an awesome idea. For "mythreads", you should make it so that multiple paged threads have multiple lines, so that you can access each page. Right now the page numbers just disappear into the thread title.

the forums look pretty fucked up to me on firefox, and its definitely loading slower than usual. otherwise, on every other browser its looking great

yea im really into the new design here on NS, it has awesome flow. plus the new front page is ballin. Great Job guys!
 
I like it. Its new, modern, and sleek. The one thing I wish would be to not have the Quick Links above my friends...I'd rather see my friends online/messages than the Quck Links, which I don't even use anyway. Can we make that optional? It doesn't make sense to have them right in the middle of everything when there's already the main toolbar; its redundant.
 
Ok, one more thing (me = whiner). I wish we had the interact list back. I HATE how when I want to go into a cult, I have to go there and it switches my view to the cult "forums" page and leaves it there so when I click forums (meaning to go to the main forums) it takes me there.

Just another gripe, but overall great job guys, it looks nice
 
Am I the only one who thinks the background image thing looks really bad? Seriously guys it makes the whole site look really cheap.

And the Home/News/Forums/Media/My NS/Members totally looks out of place wit hthe rest of the layout. Make it the same as the submenus below or maybe 2pt bigger max.

Quick Links above Friends is completely out of place too, it was much better top right even if that means your ads don't get pride of place.

This might just be me but I really hate how I have to go to "Advanced Search" to get to the previous searchbar that we all knew and loved.
 
i say move the Quick Links back to the right-hand column, it looks too cluttered with friends, online list, and new messages (when you get them). Seems like the only reason for this was just to make room for the ad-space at the top.
 
So, this is entirely fucked up.
My thread/forum layout is the same as the image way up there...

But I'm on Mac and running Safari and nothing I can figure to do will sort this problem out. I don't consider myself a bumblefuck with computers so can anyone with a larger knowledge than mine please help.
I have tried reseting safari completely, updating safari, downgrading safari, and every reset key combo i can think of.
i will not download mozilla either so don't advise me with this. PM if possible as I cannot read shit n this layout.

I agree with Bambam too, the background image is slightly too myspace for my liking but hey, I'll live with it.
 
My NS and My Threads should be back to the old position with My Threads right under My NS - by far my most common click.
 
Not sure about that Safari issue, it renders well in the versions I have access to.

With regards to the background image, if you change your Connection Speed setting to low in your Account Tools, you'll get a simple tiled background which is much faster loading. Might be a nice change if you're not a fan.

Karma is waaaay messed up, it doesnt even show up.

And in the cults under quick links it says "View Openl Cults"
 
Yeah man, I've worked it out now, it's all sweet. it was something I was doing with an external program.

The site is really smooth though I kinda agree with BamBam again about the my threads tab being under my NS. It's the most logical place for me.
 
if you go to inbox, and region (where change is spelled wrong), it says that it will help NS show you stuff from your region. what sort of stuff is this? cause that is just badass.
 
yea new design is sick, but if you try to karma rate someone in a thread you cant read the words, the contest page and contributors forum are gone. but if sure you guys know this all ready.
 
The My Threads link on top just moved. Which was another annoying thing. Now it's right below My NS where it should be.
 
Not stupid, I just added it.

I also fixed the placement of MyThreads under MyNS. If you have any other navigation suggestions please keep them coming.
