should be fun.

oh ya and the rocks are just there to hold the plywood under the pvc in place til it dries cause we had to soak it in water for a day to get it to bend like that.

lots of supports running horizontally would help,, and a few upright. If you have the cash, make plywood sides, that would help too.

i will and it wont be hit until theres snow cause there's no way i could build a set up right now for that, it'd be impossible to get enough speed. I'll keep you posted on the rest of my set up too. Right now i got a 12 ft flat rail and another one thats almost done i just need to put the topsheet on. If my friend gets the pvc cut i should have a 30ft shotgun style dfd and like another 20 ft flat rail all done, or atleast cut cause i gotta build them at my house cause if i built em at his house i wouldnt be able to move them. Im cutting out the brush above where that rail is so i can put all that in. Im also thinking about running some extension cords down there and setting up some lights for night sesh's. So it should be dope.

ya i dont think im gunna spring for the plywood cause it'd need like 6 sheets probly, maybe 7, and thats like at a minimum probly $72, so meh, the supports will do.

actually this rail even beats the coaster at killington, their coaster it like 20 feet maaaybe, probly only 15.

im really whoring my own thread arent i, this is like my 7th reply in it.

well ya right now it is but like i said in probly like 2 other replies and in the 1st post; im going to get the supports for it cut next weekend at my friends house (gurt360), and then it should be bombproof

put horizontal supports too but the ply wood does look a little weak. Besides that its a sick rail

that is so sick. that sounds alot like my home setup, just not as many rails. but we've got a snow gun and we're building 2 more this year!

ya i might not do the lighting though cause its reaaaaally far, the rails are all the way down in my pasture, so that'd be A LOT of extension cords.

you gotta host em at a site like www.photobucket.com , or something, thats the one i use. Then after u've uploaded em you're gunna wanna look in ur album (should be where it takes u after its done uploading), and then copy and paste the code under the picture u want that starts with
. So like
bleh

yo, did you just bend the plywood like hard core? and when you put the pvc to the rail did you just screw through the PVC? does that make lagit holes that are sketchy or is it nice and smooth?

we screwed up through the bottom of the plywood, we used 1/4" plywood and put 2 on top of each other, and it was 3/4" pvc so we used 1 1/4" screws and just screwed up through the bottom of the plywood into the middle of the pipes. Seems to hold quite well, the pvc isnt going anywhere

ya i just soaked the plywood in my pond for 24 hours, and then i just screwed it into the supports, then after i was done i put rocks on the base of the supports so it would stay in the shape. Worked good.

and to the other person, its really not that steep at all.

please post video of yourself eating shit when that thing falls apart!!

to view the correct way to build a coaster rail please watch SKI MOVIE 2: HIGH SOCIETY!!

hahaha like honestly i dont get this, people need to read the entire thread before they post, but i'll say it again, im not done with the rail yet. This weekend im getting the cross supports cut. Im gunna make X supports on each section and probly some some supports coming down from the main verticle supports to their feet.
