thank u all for opening this thread. My current Chronics are nearing their demise due to major edge loss and base damage so I'm looking for a slightly similar yet different ski preferably under $500. I'm looking for a soft, playful ski with MAX durability. I beat my skis into the ground, my Chronics only made it 2 seasons or about 60-70 total days before the shop told me they couldn't re mount them for my new boots. I've been eyeing the ARV 96, LINE blends, LINE Twalls & ON3P magnus but i'm afraid ON3P is out of my budget. i'm looking for something softer & wider than my chronics with a more rockered profile that can last me at least 2-3 seasons. If you made it this far ily and again PLZ RECOMMENDED ME A SKI!!!

I'm in the same boat, literally looking for the same ski.

IMHO, Lines are kinda of 'thow-away' skis, I don't expect them to last more than 2-3 seasons. With that being said the nice thing about them, especially if you don't need the newest model, is their price. You can pick up some old-stock skis for $200-300.

Right now Vishnus are climbing quickly to the top of my very short list, also Movement Fly 105 (might be a little pricey), if I could figure out where to buy them.

If your looking for the fly but not as wide, movement is coming out with a 95 next season FYI

not to be an ns kook but it honestly sounds like you want vishnus

I looked into all your guys recommendations and now I'm convinced I need to boost my budget lol. Like I said, I need something BOMBPROOF no bs. I ride 90% rails 10% trees on the East coast. The moment PBJs look pretty dope but how's their durability? Same with Vishnu wides. At that price point do you think I should just get the ON3P Magnus? I've heard almost nothing about the PBJs on here and mixed reviews of Vishnus. Some people say Vishnus are amazing, some say delaming and edge pull is a problem, but I've never heard anything bad about ON3P so i'm really tempted to just splurge on some 102 Magnus'. Any thoughts? And again thank u guys +k

literally never heard of anyone damaging vishnus. I had mine for ~40 days of just park, including the bone zone at Brighton and I never even ptexed them. no edge cracks and I never park detuned them. they didn't turn out to be the ski for me but they're hands down the most durable ski I've had my hands on

I literally jumped on rocks and stairs all season and my vishnus are fine, no edge cracks, no core shots, no chips on the topsheet

I mean like 50% of ski recommendation threads are "I want the softest most playful ski possible to do butters on that is also durable," and vishnus are the obvious answer to that. Honestly idk how fellas are having such a hard time figuring it out on their own

I think I've about made up my mind. If I can snag a pair of Vishnu 183s when they restock that'd be ideal, if not, going to have to "settle" for some tip top magoo ON3Ps. Thank you guys for making me spend $200 over my max budget lol but its definitely going to be worth what I'm paying for rather some booty noodles
