I just quit my job

Five years on ns and I've never made a thread, but I thought this might be worthy.

I'm tired of living in the city and watching myself get older. I'm sick of working for a paycheck and waiting for the weekend. I just gave my two weeks notice at work: I'm going to finish the process of getting my architectural license, move to Vermont and start a firm. I want skiing to be a lifestyle, not a hobby, and for whatever reason it just dawned on me that I need to take action if I want to make that happen. I'm so pumped right now it's not even funny.

So, wish me luck. If you guys ever want a ski house built in the future, hit me up.

badass, smart, wise, and awesome decision you made. You're going to have one hell of a life with that attitude. Just keep the momentum rolling and you'll do great. Best of luck!

Congrats and good luck!

Isn't it a wonderful feeling? I quit my job in April with no real job lined up and it felt great.

im at norwich for architecture right now. once i get my masters, i will be starting my search in vermont for sure. maybe ill end up finding you. i like the way you think.

Spoken like a man who has framed a house before.
Seriously, just because shit looks practical on paper doesn't automatically practical to build or live around. Please be a conscientious architect.
Good luck! Hope it all works out.

I'll wish you good luck as well, and it takes some balls to take the initiative and make decisions like that in life. Kudos, and my hats off.
