Babbages had this deal where you give them 2 of any ps2 game and they give you 'The Getaway' for free when it comes out. I traded in JMMT and Midnight Club, a total worth of $8.

The Getaway got horrid reviews anyways. My friend got it, and from what I heard, its not even worth 2 old trade in games.

I can see why someone would not like it and that is why it got bad reiviews. when the game mags review games, they look at anybody who plays games and see is any old shmo would enjoy that game.

THIS GAME IS NOT FOR A PUSSY GAMER! this is possibly another reason why is got bad reiviews. it is hard! it is the most realistic game out there! the reiviews say the controls are laggy-they are but it is realistic-you can't turn instantly while walking like you unrealisicly can in gta.

I don't think people are ready for this kind of game yet, but I am! I think it compaires to gta 3. I think it is a great game.

all I am saying is that before you diss a game-rent the fucking thing! it is one of the only games on gamespot.com where the avrage user reiview is higher than the reiview they gave it! the av. user reiview is 8/10, which is what gta3 was given by some mags.

also if you look at the back it is rated 'M' for:

Blood, Drug Reference, Strong Language, strong sexual content, and Violence!

oh, so the controls are unresponsive and are'nt intuitive? sounds great! ever wonder why they give it to you for 8 bucks? its the only way they can sell it. its pretty funny that you gave them two games and 8 dollars fo that peice of trash. why dont you give me two games and 8 bucks and i'll send you a half melted cd, its got about the same value as the getaway.

does splinter cell have a whole city you can go in and steal cars?

also I never said the controls were nonresponsive-and they arn't. they are however slow only at times. it is something that was done unperpus to make it more realistic.

and how come everyware else but babages is selling the game for full price???

and don't say that babages is the only smart place that sells games.

it was a very hard deal to get, only a fiew people even ever knew about it and it only happened for a very short time. also I did not give them $8. that was the total worth of the 2 games I traded in. of corse they mark them up a hell of a lot which would make up for most of the price.

It was a hugely hyped up game which sucked. You are a fanboy who can't even see through the hype. Therefore you suck. And Having 'an entire city you can go through and steal cars' does not make a game realistic. Go fucking walk around in the middle of a city and try to steal a car. I bet it won't happen.

I have not payed much attention the the hype. I saw a cupple screenshots and liked what I saw that is all. and I have the game and have to say I do like it very much so. I had played it before i ever posted this thread...
