for slapping him in the but at a big party, im in quebec and dont speak french needless to say interaction with the legal system was absolutley fucked and now after 6 hours in quebec drunk tanks i gotta go to french court charged with assaulting a police officer

I've pieced it together. OP was at a gay bar in Montreal and saw this sexy hunk of a police officer. Naturally being at a gay bar he though this was a costume so slapped his ass hoping he might get a cavity search. Unfortunately for him it was an actual police officer.
 
lets be serious it was probably the police officers fault for wearing the clothing he was, clearly he was asking to be slapped in the ass and it's what he wanted he just changed his mind after the fact because he didn't want to be called a slut.

lawyer up dude. i don't know how things work in Canada, but in the US, if you were to lawyer up, i guarantee you that your lawyer could plead this down from assaulting an officer to public intox, or disturbing the peace....something along those lines. and believe me, you'd much rather have a public intox on your record as opposed to assaulting a police officer.

people are trying to tell you that once you've got a record, you're fucked! bullshit. as long as it's not a felony, it's whatever. it's realistically not going to keep you from getting a job or anything like that. i've gotten my self in a little bit of trouble here and there, and have still worked for the dod with high level security clearance + a couple of fortune 500 companies...in pretty respectable capacities. Yeah, I have to disclose it, but I've never had anyone who hasn't laughed it off as being young, dumb, and drunk. everyone has done something they regret when drunk, so most won't hold it against you.

pay your fine and move on. shit happens, dude.

My dad got charged with assaulting an unidentified officer one time.

We were getting work done in our front yard and had a trench dug. Some of the dirt slid off and broke the gas line and the electrical line which lit the gas on fire and there was about a 20 foot flamethrower shooting the outside of our house. So my dad was running around shutting the gas off inside so the flames would just stay outside, he shut the power off, and all that stuff while the fire dept was coming. The fire department showed up as well as an off duty cop. The off duty cop comes up to my dad and tells him to get off of the property in a mean tone. My dads like, "I just want to talk to the fire department and tell them what i've done. Then I'll leave." The cop tells him no and tells him to leave the property now. Which he isn't even allowed to do because my dad hasn't broken any laws and were teh ones that called 911 in the first place.

So my dad tells him the same thing again and then the cop grabs my dads arm and says, "Come with me, I demand that you leave your property." My dad tells him no and he tells him to let go of him and that he has no right to lay a hand on him when he hadn't broken any laws. Then my dad breaks his hold and begins to walk around him to talk to the fire dept who was only 10 feet away. The cop grabs him again and tells him the same thing and my dad says, "Let me go right now." The cop grabs his other arm and yells at him, "SIR YOU ARE DISOBEYING A DIRECT ORDER FROM AN OFFICER!" then shit got wild.

Let me just say that my dad was the high school wrestling champ in his district as a kid and hes just a tank. Even for an old man he knows how to use people's momentum against them and even me and my 2 brothers couldn't even get him pinned while we were growing up.

So anyways, so as the cop reaches to grab my dads other arm, he spins him around and dumps him right on his ass and pins his back and face against the front lawn with his knee and has both of his arms behind his back. He then yells at the cop, "YOU HAD NO RIGHT TO GRAB ME!" the cop was yelling and cussing up a storm back at him while in the meantime 2 other cops show up and tackle my dad off of him and handcuff him. So they put him in the back of the car for about 5 minutes and then the chief of police shows up and after about 10 minutes of talking with the fire dept, neighbors, my dad, and others he decides to let my dad go.

Later they tried to take my dad to court but after some research by our lawyer, it turns out this cop is a very dirty cop and then all charges were dropped and we received a personal apology letter from the cop saying he had no right to act the way he did. The chief of police and the governor of our town also sent letters apologizing.

So ya, my dad is a BAMF
 
This story doesn't add up. You're out of jail, but you made no mention of posting bond. If it really was a serious offense, they wouldn't just let you walk out, and I can't imagine anywhere that assaulting a police officer isn't a serious offense.
 
the context of the slap was...

there was a big house party going on at a place where ots of big house parties happen the cops were lurkin outfront like they always do usually we get along fine (were in a small town in quebec hard to picture wat the scene was like)

but anyways he was up on the porch yellin at all these kids and bein a dick as i walked by him a slapped him on the butt and said keep up the good work or somthing along those lines and the next thing i knew i was getting arrested

and they called me gay boy the whole ride there and said i was gunna ahve fun at the gay jail

total dicks
