a local hardware store went out of business and they have a lot of free shit sitting outside. next to the pile of free shit is this 3 foot ramp. a guy comes out and sees my trying to take the ramp away and hes like, why the hell would u want that? he was confused when i said it was skiing, but anyway, it also has a little bit of kick. idk why a hardware store would have this. i have a little bit of a hill thats gonna help with the speed, and im makin a 20 foot flat rail now

dude that reminds me of when i went to lowes to get outdoor carpet. the dude was like "so are you making a put-put course?" and i say "no im going to use this to ski on in the summer" the look on this guys face was priceless. what probably made it better is i live in cinci where people dont even really think about skiing in the winter-which is why my neighbors now think im retarded

i wish i had a hill. My drop-in sucks, and therefore so does my rail. Props to you, have fun.

haha, even better is I was at lowes looking for laxan and I ask this old guy where it is and he takes me there, and was asking what it's for and everything. When i told him skiing/snowboarding he started going on about how he was in the special forces in some mountain and they had to train on skis and wear ski boot everywhere, and then how he was among the first snowboarders and taught snowboarding and stuff. It was pretty funny, but he had a really good idea. He suggested instead of buying a sheet of lexan for the whole box, instead screw it onto the bottom of an old pair of skis and then you can basically slide anything.
