Im new to boulder and idk whats good yet as far as ski shops for affordable bootfitting and ski maintenance. +++kkkk thanks
 
I personally don't like many of the Boulders ski shops so I scour the internet......however in a pinch Boulder Ski Deals is alright.

Larry the Bootfitter is money for fitting but his boots are a little expensive
 
I know some people here will disagree with me, but I'm a fan of Boulder Ski Deals. They are cheap, quick, and have lots of stuff in stock that smaller shops don't (i.e. ski brakes, replacement boot toe/heel pieces etc.) Their sales staff isn't exceptionally knowledgeable or the best skiers out there, but I don't know when the last time I went to a ski shop looking for advice on gear was. I think Larry is the best bootfitter, but in my opinion the main problem with him is that he is so busy that he doesn't give you his full attention, and if one of his assistants helps you you might as well just go to ski deals. I'd also recommend checking out Bentgate if you pass through Golden.
 
To add one more comment about Boulder Ski Deals, I think a lot of people go in there with the "I am radder than thou" attitude, if you take the time to get to know the guys there and ask how their days are going they will help you out and hook you up with parts and service.
 
My thing is there will never really be a store that can satisfy me.

I refuse to pay full price for any ski equipment, clothing, work, etc. as I've worked at ski stores before and enjoyed the privileges of pro form, access to the shop, and what not. This is why I said Boulder Ski Deals in a pinch is good - you can definitely find decently priced binding and skis there.

However back in the day when Jibij was around - which was awesome - I still couldn't get myself to buy anything brand new from there either as their markup was too much for me.

So.......the internet is where I get all my shit which might explain why I bought essentially the same ski three years in a row each time for a slightly cheaper price. But now that I need new boots I may be fucccked
 
yea the internet is where i get all my shit backcountry, evo, co freeskier, porters tahoe.. i know whats good online, but when i need a wax, mounting, or boots the internet just isnt going to suffice. i got some ft twal pro model online and they were a little too big, so im just trying to sell those online and get the right size spk pros by trying sizes at a ski shop and then buying them online.

Ski deals is alright, some of the dudes in there are clueless and suck, but there are some good ones

Mark at ski deals has been my dude for boots

As far as mounting, waxing, base repairs, etc. Or race stuff, Alpine base and edge is the place to go without a doubt, I don't let anyone else work on my skis
