if its really that much of a problem, just tell youre friend that you can go, then just sneak out and go skiing.
my friend's mom is just like that and he just sneaks out without telling her and goes for the whole day. and your mom casn only punish you so much. the worst she could do is hide you skis. then you could just find them and sneak out again.
also, this is only a last resort. otherwise just try to be nice to her, and she might change her mind.

of course I don't hope my mom dies. She was just being a huge bitch back in the day. I dont see her too much but talk to her on the phone pretty often. I have my own whipskee and place in burlington, vt and I do what I want without relying on my parents
