im going down to my hometown ya herd

and of course the surrounding areas (biloxi)

volunteering in the katrina relief build projects. 2 weeks of construction.
 
well now that you've claimed it for all its worth your karma is spent. probly would've been a lot too...
 
You only get karma through a selfless act....it sounds like you want something in return, so it's not a selfless act....
 
ive been going down there for the past 2 and a half years volunteering. but this is the first time im going to be visiting where i was born. im just stoked on it man. maybe you should come along. i never said i was "looking for karma"
 
i went to pass christian for a week over the summer. by far the best thing ive ever done in my life. met the coolest most down to earth people and helped a guy named jeff rebuild his parents house. definitely an experience i will never forget, and you shouldnt be hoping for karma because of this you should do it out of your own selfless heart and hope for nothing in return, because trust me the experience you will have down there will fulfill every expectation and hope you could ever want.
 
jesus christ guys chill out. im not claiming shit. im going regardless. its like buying a girl you love a diamond necklace...you hope you get some head but if not, whatever, her being with you is good enough and youre happy if shes happy
 
I did...it was fucked down there...however, the people were disappointingly rude...hear Im helping them the best I can and I still wasn't doing enough for them
 
dude id be super pissed too if all my shit got soaked and ruined, my dog drowned and i had to live in a superdome for a month.

dont take it personally. the govt has fucked them enough as it is
 
thats odd, when i was down there this summer everybody was so friendly and completely grateful for the work that was being done. it was an amazing experience.
 
I was there to assist a dive team...I could count the thank you's I received on one hand...I didnt have to be there, but I believe in lending a helping hand so I chose to be there...I was talked to like it was my job...go get this for me or go get that...so Id dive down get it if I could find it and received no sign of gratitude...made me glad to leave...I remember helping neighbors sandbag their houses when the Mississippi flooded...they still send me letters of thanks...
 
dude wtf? just cuase not everyone believes that christianity is relevant to everything or anything doesnt mean oyu hsould say other things are bullshit
 
yea im going to st.bernards parish in 41 days for habitat for humanity. should be an eyeopening/grateful experience.
