I hiked Whistler today.

So today I slept in because it was my day off. It was about 2pm when I got up, only to realize that much of whistler mountain was covered in 20-30cm of snow. Even though the mountain doesn't open until the 22nd, i decided i had enough of waiting and it was time to hike. I immediately called up my buddies to see if they wanted to hike but they all bailed. So I decied to go solo. Never realized how out of shape I was but it was definitely one of the most rewarding days I've had this year.

Check out the pics.

On my way outta the house in upper village.

These bad boys ended getting destroyed by the many rocks toward the base of the mountain.

doing things alone sucks, but you can accomplish a lot.

my uncle used to live there and he hiked/ran to the mid station on whistler everyday in the morning.  This was when it was undeveloped so i really dont know how far it is but it was probably quite a ways
