wow id never heard of "straight edge" or "edge" before now. So I urban dictionarried it. So are you like, a vegetarian who doesnt do any drugs/drink and only goes in monogomous relationships? Or did you just stop drinking and blazing.

to all the kids that DONT do beer bongs, play beer pong, take shotskis, case races, power hours, drink wine with fine bitches, play quarters, go to the bars, pick up ladies at the bars, smoke blunts, take pills, drink before noon, pregame before pregaming, smoke weed before really smoking weed, and overall to kids that think they are a better person than me when i have a thousand times more fun than any straight edge kid ever will......

sounded like a speech when i was reading that. i pretty much agree with everything you wrote but isnt it a little hypocritical to say that you dont tell anyone unless they ask that you drink and then you tell a bunch of people on ns about it?
 
like i wont out of nowhere say that i dont drink, but since this thread is about not drinking and smoking, i think its ok. if a bunch of friends were talking about NOT drinking and smoking, id probably say something.

its just that at parties or whatever im not gonna go around telling people that i dont drink.

yeah thats what im talking about i know u like to party, just based on what ive seen u say before. The saying "sorry for partying" or "cuz i like to party" is the most perfect excuse in any situation. literally
For example. prof calls u out for coming in late. response: sorry for partying
officer asks why u were doing 62 in a 45. response: cuz i like to party
u hook up with the chick ur homie has been trying to land for awhile. response: sorry for paryting
some kid on the slopes thinks ur a clown for doing seamens over every table. response: sorry for partying
wife is leaving u with the kids cuz shes sick and tired of ur lack of respect and terrible communication skills. response: sorry for partying

Now a straight edge cant use that response in its full meaning. Saying something like "sorry for going to the library alot" or "sorry for playing computer games" just doesnt sound the same. And anyone that completely disagrees, hates partying hard, and thinks i lack a responsibilty and respect.....

now i dont know exactly what "straight edge" means, if it means someone who not only doesnt drink, but doesnt have fun or do anything other than be responsible and study and work, then yeah i agree with you that straight edge is pretty gay.
but if anything, by not drinking, you have alot more oppertunities for fun, atleast for me, instead of staying inside all night and sitting on the couch drinking away, i go out and find something to do, and while my friends are too hung over or just too lazy cause they wanna get stoned all day, i go out skiing all day instead.
im not saying that you cant have any fun drinking, im just saying that for me i can have waaaayyyy more fun by not.
and i hate how people use the word party, sitting around all night on a couch drinking and smoking isnt a party, its a get together of people who have to be dumbed down to enjoy life. yet people still call this shit a party. and 90% of the time this is what a party is.
now i have been to party's that were awesome and people were actually doing something, like a techno dance party, 80's party, and a cross dressing party, and that shits fun, cause your actually doing something amusing. not just sitting around drinking to be drunk because your not satisfied with your life without it.
plus it feels good to know that you dont need all these substances to be happy, its nice not having to rely on alcohol and drugs in order to enjoy life.

 
Most edge people also don't eat meat, take medicine, or drink caffiene. It has just lately been adapted to meaning basically no drugs, alcohol or one night stands.

I have personal responsibility when I do shit so I don't need a philosophy but if you do good for you.
