-I played lax for a few years back in middle school. It was fun, but not fun to get hit and I got hit a lot because I was small and played attack.

-I guess lax is a little cheaper overall. Both skiing and lax have their own "culture".

-A pro lax player earns on avg. $14,000 a year while a pro freestyle skier earns on avg $300,000 according to answer.com, but I think that is a little high for most up and coming pros.

-Lacrosse is a team sport, while skiing is individual.

-Lacrosse is typically something that only a few members of the family take interest in, while skiing is fun for the whole family.
