...i have a very particular set of skills.

whatssss goood?

im pretty new to this forum but im no stranger to forums in general (the lacrosse fourms is my native forum). coming to NS i was surprised to see boots being dyed much the same way that lacrosse sticks are dyed. I happen to be a really skilled lacrosse dyer(i work at a local shop).

i am making this thread to see if there would be interest in custom boot dying, i can do virtualy any design/ pattern. eventualy i play on getting a vynal cutter for decals. If you guys think this is something that can become pretty big, ill make a thread into the fs/wtb forum

anyway, here are some of my lacrosse designs that i could absolutly apply to boots.

I HOPE THESE GAVE YOU SOME IDEAS!

hope you guys are interested, id be glad to dye some boots

tight sticks those are lookin ill you could def design some ill looking boots especially since u have a lot more room to work with

To be completely straight up i dont think it would work for ski boots,well.. it might WORK but your not gonna get a lot of people to do it. It looks amazing on lacrosse heads though.

those are sick, you are pretty skilled. If I hadn't already dyed mine I would have totally sent you my full tilts.

Ever heard of Leigh Powis? His boots are dyed you cant even tell what they are unless you really look at them up close.Lots of peole dye their boots. Not very well but they try. I think this is a great Idea.

i really like some of those. throw those designs at full-tilts. maybe they would use them and you could get the moneyzzz

thats ill i might be ineterseted but also try crowbars cause youll get more business and more money for those that cant do ill designs like you

That is insane. I used to dye a few sticks, and I am pretty impressed with your work. Very well done.

I think you will have to do some research before you attempt to do boots. Many are made from an extremely non-porous plastic that will reject any liquid. Others with matte plastic and rubber composites will accept dyes. Since you dye a bunch I am sure you know what I am talking about. I've considered this a bit. Might I suggest to you starting with helmets and goggles. Both are usually made from a more absorbent material. If I were you, I would snag a couple of pairs of older white a-frames or wisdoms, then maybe a couple of white helmets and try some dyes and patterns. If you need any sugguestions or help PM me. I've been in your field and also considered this stuff with ski gear. Personally I think you could make a nice little market for yourself if you learned the "do"s and "don't"s.

okay, thanks to everyone!

yeah, i plan on doing some kind of tests but i wanted to make sure there is some interest out there

does anyone have any spare goggles, boots, or helmets for experiment??

broken equipment would prob be the best!

hell yeah, nice work man. dying is a really cool, fairly simple concept that Im really surprised is just now starting to catching on in skiing. full tilt should DEFINITELY make an all white boot that can be dyed. it'd look fresh all white, and would let everyone do their thing with them that wanted to.

If you bought a cheaper pair of boots and died them and then posted a pic, i think that people would be more willing to get that done, since they could see a finished product

id love to but im literaly fresh outta money i just bought a pair of ON3P's and i dont think boots are in the mix :/

anyone with broken equpment please PM me.

if you know the material can hold dye...i can do just about anything with it.

I also dye lacrosse heads. dyeing doesn't affect the structural integrity of the boots or heads. Also Ive dyed some crowbars they look sweet. If anyone wants to kow how to do it just dunk the boots in rit dye. Patterns can be achieved using hot glue guns, electrical tape, duct tape etc

are you still doing these?i saw you poach on that other kids thread so i figured i would come check this out..are you still doing any custom dying to lax heads?if so let me know

dude u should buy plain white goggles and die the frames but i would seriously buy a pair of boots like that

im still stringing and dying...im acctualy looking for bussiness cause my local store closed down over the winter.

PM me if you are iterested at all... we'll talk

those look real sick! lacrosse is a pretty fun sport too. I have agent 80's that i wouldnt mind dying... i'll PM you when i get some dough.

Offer to dye goggles too. You'll probably get way more customers if the price is right, and it will take less dye and stuff. Be a lot like dying a lax head also.

never done boots...if anyone has an old pair i can try it. i know its been done...and i could do some sick designs

i have done goggles...this one was reallly quickly done just to see if the dye would take.(picture quality sucks...used my cell)
