I have a powder question

if you want real pow in the east, go to whiteface

anyways, real pow feels like there is a lil pull on the tips of your skis, and it is constantly pulling you down. there is resistance on turns so i pull up my inside leg on turns

ill think more on how o better express my thoughts.....

I've got to heavily disagree with the suggestion to go to Whiteface for powder. They're average annual snowfall is a measily 168".

It may be steep there with a lot of vert, but there is a reason why it has the nickname "Iceface"

1st: no whiteface dosent get pow.

Jay on the other hand gets 350+ inches (twic te snow)

2nd: pow is nothing like how you described it.

it should feel like youre floating, not like youre being pulled down, and with no resistance at all.

and to whoever said that when its below 22 degrees F man made is good powder, i can only hope you were joking...

Haha, yeah.

If you're maching a groomer and transition into deeper powder without adjusting your stance/balance, you will go over the bars and faceplant.

never said its as good as the real thing. just saying it rides really nice and it may be a joke but to you but its the best we get in indiana so consider yourself lucky

word. it was right around 32 one time when they were blowing at Killington and it was all sticky and wet. really bad consistency.
