last week at school i was reading freeze and a guy came and saw that some weird people were trying to do the same things has snowboarders do but....WITH SKIS. So he watched some pics and he said 'so you ski???' and said yeah and he started to smile the way you smile when you want to laugh at someone. I dont really understand why snowboarders(some) dont respect skiing, inever laughed at a snowboarder and everyone where i live cant respect skiing i think i'll call it the 'skiing in quebec syndrom' anyone lives in a place like me...i hate it!!!

Try going to Bear Mtn. where pretty much all the boarders suck. It's so bad that one time I asked this girl who ate shit on a little bump in the trail if she was ok and she told me to fuck off and called me skiier like it's the plaque or something. It doesn't get to me though, I've got nothing against boarders, just against those who hate on us cause we're not like them.

From what I can tell the top level snowboarders and top level skiers have tons of respect for each other. They know a sick line is a sick line. no matter how many boards are under your feet.

in Ga most of the skiers are northface and arcteryx skiers (most of my friends are) who are more into rippin up normal black diamonds and they think jibbing is pretty cool but dont do it.

but there are alot of people that rag on skiing and think its still gay.........

At my hill, we dont have a problem with snowboarders hating on us skiers because snowboarders were just allowed to start a coupel years ago... before that it was all skiers all the time. So the snowboarders that are at my hill suck ass and have no room to talk. Plus, theres like 20 skiers for every snowboarder

I dunno--I ride with skiers AND snowboarders and everyone seems to respect...I guess they all just know a sick trick when they see one and aren't afraid to give props for that...

hard to believe that there's still the Skier vs. Snowboarder friction when both sports are really progressed at this point.

 
I am the only skier in my group of friends that go to the mountains with me, but they all respect me because I can lay down just as good as them, and still beable to kick their ass in a race. The best thing for shit talking boarders is to prove your self on the mountain, because most shit talkers suck.

snowboaders in general feel that snowboarding is harder and therfore they deserve more respect. i popped a 3 of a big mogul and a snowboader behind me tried the same and ate shit. i told him he should try stuff he can't do. he then instructed me to try what he tried on a snowboard. (little did he know i am proficient at both)so i asked him what size boots he wore, luckily it was my size. so, we switched, then hiked up and tried the hit again. he ate shit on skis(expected)while i did a 540 just to piss him off. that was the last time i ever talked to a snowboarder on the hill and it was 2 years ago.

most of the snowboarders at my hill are under 16,are mostly metally retarded, and are from accross the boarder in clair. No offense to any other Canada Peoples, i think you all kick ass. But you counterparts from Clair are a bunch of douchbags
