okay so.

me and 3 buddies went to a bar last night. Everything was cool until my one bud brandon got some guy kicked out for trying to start shit in the bar. Apparently he had 11 other friends waiting outside the bar for him.

I was talking to these guys outside the bar until my friends came out and we were chill.

Then boom, my friend brandon and the other 2 come out and all hell brakes loose. i had 5 dudes beating the shit out of me. i barely had time to get punches in. and before i knew it i was on the ground getting kicked and so was brandon.

other two buds had 2 a piece. but still 12 guys to 4? like who the fuck does that.

Cops came and the 12 guys ran. we talked to the cops and they wouldn't do shit except threaten to charge us.

Fucking Quebec eh

inb4 cool story etc

oh yea and i think i have a broken finger and my ankle is fucked

dont know if i can ski this weekend:(

The area as a whole can get dirty pretty quick. I've gotten jumped there before. Bop is usually pretty mellow unless you go looking for it, I guess you just got unlucky.

yeaa i try to stay away from hull. just last night i dunno.

its weird though cause i was talking with them before and shit. and there was no problem but what can ya do. alcohol is a weird thing

first of all, no shit, you're hanging out in the burbs first of all, and then hull just seems to remind me of these types of stories.

but mainly, what the fuck did you say to these people? that's what interests me.

just small talk. they seemed like chill dudes. i was just waiting outside with them.

and also the reason is for hating is because the cops sat there and watched then threatened to charge us. the ones who got jumped.

the guys were also french.

soo

oddly enough, my teacher is from france, and we spent last class going on what she called anglicisms, and half of it was terms that were actually noticed by the language laws in quebec, and, we don't have the same accent, nor lifestyle, therefore, no. you wouldn't call a brazilian portuguese, but they speak it.

anyways.

ive known the whole time. ive been 5 times. and sometimes i have fun. i go with my buds

i'm just being a dick. but saying the french generally implies people from france, where as french canadiens, implies mostly quebecers, and then whomever else falls into the category.

just because they speak the same language doesnt mean the have the same culture, accent, lifestyle, location, or anything. Its basically a comepletly different dialect based on the same language. i would know, im french. australians speak english, the doesnt mean that they're american. think things through before you try to act smart.

Quebec french is actually much different than france french. It's more slangish and less proper. Its alomost like american english compared to birtish english.

they speak the same language, albeit with a few exceptions and try to maintain the same culture. might as well be french. and OP that kind of shit happens everywhere, not just quebec. frenchies are not what you should be mad at, its fucking pussies who think fighting in numbers makes them tough.

shit, and weather network is saying 10-15cm sunday. I'll have an empty car if you're down.

gotta stay clear of the dirty.

I actually had similar, but on Rideau street last year. not too long after shoulder surgery still rocking the sling and walking back from a bar got beat up and mugged by 5 people. complete bullshit fight. there was about a group of 6 black people that started a fight with a couple of my friends who were a block ahead of me. they got out of that pretty fast and were fine. I didn't even know it had happened and kept walking still thinking they were ahead of me, walked right through them and 3 of them started pounding on me. then to make it worse they were yelling out I was being a racist and calling them nig*ers so 2 random dudes from the street started beating on me too.

so 5 on 1, me having a broken collar bone with a newly put in metal plate. came out with a cracked jaw/bruised ribs and the fuckers took my wallet. luckily was able to protect me shoulder though.

damn man. shits crazy.

and i am defiantly going to pull through and just ski haha i just haven't figured out where. i may be going to tremblant on sunday. but ill let you know hopefully tonight

Because you speak the same language, doesn't make them of the same nationality.

That's like saying American people are English, or Mexicans are Spanish.

Doesn't work like that buddy

and jsut to be clear i dont actually hate the french

i am just pissed off and it happend in quebec with quebecians

so i hate the 12 pussies that take on 4 guys

americans speak english, but they're not the english, they're americans. fool.

are you even from quebec? because the last i checked not a fucking chance does quebec even compare to france. yeah montreal is more european, but no one in my family tries to act like their from france, let alone, do they have anything but a quebecois accent. are you even canadian? are you able to assert this assumption you're giving? but no offense, if you want to know the truth about quebec, focus on the fact that for the past two decades they've wanted nothing to do with canada, let alone, wanting nothing to do with france for the past few centuries. french quebecers have a miserable time, often even accepting that they're canadian, granted, this is much less seen, but i know people who still think that way, therefore let alone, would want anything to do with being from france. quebec has completely adopted their own culture, food, and terminology. we use different words that mean different things! not to mention that quebec is HUGE. and that only basically montreal and quebec are really european feeling because they want to preserve their heritage, but we don't grovel at the feet of france. no one does that anymore. the further north you go, the more people will probably boast about quebec this and that and how proud they are to be apart of this nation.

we speak french, but we are not THE french, those people come from france, like how brazilians speak portuguese, but THE portuguese live in portugal, and above all, THE english are from england, not scotland, ireland, australia, american, canada, and etc, even though we all speak english. VERY complicated i see. but anyone to assert that quebecers want to be like france, is hilarious. hatians want to speak french, but they don't consider themselves the french.

Just saying montreal basically speaks english, I went there last weekend and there was no point in me speaking french. Quebec city ftw.

on top of that, French French is not at all the same as quebec French. I am French, and just about 100% fluent in French. Yet when it comes to people from quebec, I can barely understand them, and i know for sure that holds true for the majority of my family. In some cases, they even try to "out-french" the french by doing stupid shit like making stop signs say arret.

French-canadians suck. French people do not.

no, but my question is why do they have them? I've never been anywhere else in the world (including France) that has a stop sign in any other language. Especially not one that actually has 2 national languages. I just don't get it.
