I hate straight airs and they scare the poop outa me. anyone with me?!

i hate straight airs mostly because i suck at them and sasha makes fun and then i go back to my cutting ways

straight airs are harder than spins... you can pop easy on spins but straight airs are like ugggggghhhheeeeooow whatever... yano?

i dont actually know much on this topic, i dont like park, but in general, straight airs are fine for me. just tuck it, keep it tight, and land. but im more of a steeps person, not park.

anyway, jaime pierre almost never does a straight air off a cliff. doing a grab or at least something gets your mind of the landing and if your messing up or not. especially when you have like a full 3 seconds of freefalling, literally millions of things go through your mind, like how your going to land, what youv done wrong so far and etc. but he says when you throw in at the very least a grab and maybe a flip, your mind is concentrated on the flip, not how huge your going which tends to freak people out.

Didn't I tell you that? I think I did.

And as long as you don't flail, straight airs aren't so bad. They feel scary sometimes thouuughh cause you see the snow pass under you.

just turn those flails into daffies and you'll be so ultra radical that the bitches will flock to you!

Hey Guys and Gals,

The reason you are freaked out on straight airs is because that you are not setting the jump right. When you are approaching the jump, you should have your knees bent, pressing forward in your ski boots, and your hands in front of you. Near the lip of the jump, you pop off by extending your knees and upper body up and FORWARD! IF you do not pop forward, then you will set the air at the angle of the lip of the jump (which is different than the angle of the landing) and will cause you to be out of control. If you set the jump right, you will be totally fine in the air. If you do not, you will always be afraid of straight airs, which btw, should be done off of every jump at least 2-3 times in order to gauge how the jump may have changed since you last hit it. Believe me, if you dont, you may have disasterious results. Just set your pop right and you will be fine in the air!

You need to become comfortable in the air, or atleast i did, I also learned that if you do a huge spread eagle, then people from all over will give you props cause spread eagles are the shit

Word ur just alot taller when ur doing straight airs so its easier to lose ur balance set a safty grab if u really feel like straight airing the first time
