so today im hitting the biggest jump i have prolly ever hit (not taht big tho, cause im not so good at park skiing) and I straight air it like 2-3 times and i flail like a mothafucka each time and totally undershoot.

Finally i was just like fuck it, im goin to 360. i do it fine, no flail, land it clean. end of the day i was doing 7s. at one point my setup was wrong so i just straight aired, flailed like a motehrfucker and almost landed on one ski all off blanace.

Any of you other guys just fail miserably when it coems to going off jumps straight?

Are you doing a grab while you straigh air? I usually do a grab, or more often a spaffy or shifty when straigh airing.

i thought that i was the only one. seriously, after i fell wicked hard this season, ive been horrified to ever do a straight air again. i can never never straight air, i can only spin off jumps.

same i cant striaght air for shit. I never do them i just cab 1 or cab 3 for my guenni pig trick

i always get unbalenced on straight airs and either land wrong or fuck up somehow

i normally just straight air mute jumpsit keps yur balance for all of you that cant straight air you prolly started to ski in the park no diss but seriously learn the straights it gives you that ounce of respect ya need

haha, someone told you this in another thread, but PLEASE use at least a little punctuation, it'd help readability a lot...

and yea, even with a grab straight airs are scary. I like to shifty, but doing an up high critical stabilizes me pretty well too.

no mofo i have been doing mutes since back when they were called phil grabs bitch and punctuate my ass this is the internet not a business letta

Yeah I hate strait airing sooo much! They can be scary, so when I test jumps I just 180. They're much safer anyways when you case.

nah. i always straight air if i'm testing a jump. i usually mute or toxic to stabilize myself in the air though.

The shifty straight air is and incredibly steeze trick. Especially over the larger jumps.

The only cool straight airs are old school mogul tricks on your first run of the day or on little jumps but just grabbing a straight air is pretty gay

i can straight air just fine cause thats all i used to do when i was younger, but i do a mute or a crictical if im gonna straight air

i hate looking down, wen i spin it gets me more focused on the spin and not on looking down and how high i am in the air

If you cant straight air and your already spinning off the hit, your kinda skipping a step in the learning process. Just go off centerd with your arms out front, pop, bring your legs up, keep your arms out front, then put down the landing gear when you get close to ground. Getting over fear of hights and learning not to flail just takes expirence and concentration.

its becasue you dont pop off the lip as well when straigh airing. Or dont think about it and just kind of meh in the air : ) well thats how it is with me

come on guys, if you cant pop right to get a balanced strait air.... you need to work on it. hat happens when you ginea with a one and wayyyyyy overshoot, you cant tck and roll switch.

ummm you should alwayas straigt air a new jump...even if you hit it every day, i still straight air frist hit...better to save your season

heres an idea....if they scare the

"poop" out of you then dont straight air it and do a grab....intersting concept eh?

i have to do something

im with you

in bonus keystone in shangai

someone does a straight air over the thing and flails then 180s it perfect
