only currently offered solid front axle vehicles in the US are ford f-250/350, ram 2500/3500, jeep wrangler, and Mercedes G-class (nvm the g lost its solid front axle in 2019)

I’m still surprised the wrangler has an option for it. Probably the gladiator then too.

I guess they offer front locking diffs on the rubicon. Only real reason for it.

the HD trucks I get cause it gives you a bigger payload capacity

the only thing good about a wrangler is a solid front axle lmao jeeps teased ifs wranglers and people go ape shit over it, if they do it they'll lose all their customers to the bronco. also yeah the gladiator, forgot that ugly piece of shit excuse for a truck existed

you can have a locking front ifs diff, don't know if anyone offers them factory, the new bronco might?

It’s the fact that they are making insane profits while skipping the part where you sponsor good athletes and pump money into the industry. It’s like skateboard companies that only sell online; you aren’t helping skate shops and unless you sponsor a dozen people you’re aren’t any better than a walmart board company

Instagram changed how skiing is marketed, brands don't have to pay athletes to get exposure in a movie or event, they can just hand out free gear and get tons of marketing via instagram.

I understand why this would make you upset, but the truth is this is how most ski brands operate these days, athletes are getting less money than ever.

With any group in skiing there's always an "us and them" where some people feel a sense of superiority to the masses outside their little group. That being said, you're implying that people don't like dope/montec because of that feeling of superiority, when there are other valid reasons for not liking those brands.

Potential buyers care about whether the stuff looks good and who's on the team, which would ideally be full of skiers that they like/respect and want to support. In all honesty, social media presence is also important these days. Reputation and brand recognition is important. Putting effort into team videos (vishnu, surface, jetskis, faction, on3p in the past) is also important to some people. If you evaluate brands like dope or virtika using this criteria, then it becomes clear why a lot of people don't like them.

Except there sorta is something we can do about it. Talk shit about companies that don’t support skiers and hopefully we can make a difference. All the companies I support help out skiers that I like. Would I really drop $30+ on a tall t just because I like the look? Probably not, but the fact that they support/supported most of my favourite skiers makes me inclined to buy their shit

What you just said still doesn't change the fact that a company X can give influencer Y some of their gear and get tons of free marketing from it.

But yes, supporting companies that you like and know support the industry is great, but 90% of people who buy ski gear are looking for the best deal and the easiest way to buy it, I.E. clicking a link in their favorite influencers profile and buying that gear.

I just feel like sometimes ns likes to hate on stuff just cause it doesn’t match their persona. if you wanna rock a dope jacket cause you like it, go right ahead. Anyone who disses you for it is way out of line.

Shit like this is definitely why i dislike all three brands with a burning firing passion. The kids that advertise dope on tik tok are so fucking cringe it’s unbearable. And the algorithm keeps showing it to me cause I sit there and watch it 3 times in disbelief that the level of cringe I’m seeing is possible. That being said I could care less if people wear it but it definitely sucks. Also I suppose I should delete tik tok

I respect the ppl behind dope snow. They have created a social media powered money generating super machine that I wish I owned.

The ppl who want to wear jacket that says DOPE on it are just tacky broads. Same kinda person who wears youngLA or gymshark. That’s like at least half of America right there idk bout Europe though

If you use this much mental power thinking about other ppl’s poor taste in clothing brands you will never be successful or cool.
