I hate college

I went to a state school first semester and got a 3.4, Didn't study too much, didn't really do homework and so I transfer to UVM. I study my ass off here, do all my homework, and get extra help and I'm failing 3 of my 5 classes. I knew it was tougher than the state school but fuck! I hate college.

dude, college is the best thing ever, its so much tighter than high school. So what if the college you transfered to is a bit harder, stick with it college fucking rocks

true but when i go to class it doesn't really suck that much. like i go to class for an hour or 2 and then i am done. college kicks ass.

my brother has somewhere along the lines of a 3.5 at UVM. he doesnt like the school cause for what he's studying it blows ass. he's trying to be a doctor, he's gonna have to go to a med school after UVM.

not here, it's 9 bucks an hour for a tutor, but I've done that. It's a bit difficult to study harder when I'm studying 6-7 hours a day JUST for chem and then the rest of my free time doing nutrition/bio.

yeah man, you are telling me, im at university of rochester....its tough, but it works out....i thought i was doing shitty last semester and i ended up with a 3.4

I know how you feel. All i want to do is get out in the real world, do some real work and make some real money. Im sick of riding on my parents checks.

College is a shitload of work, studying, and watsed time... but you gotta do it. 4 years of hard work for a lifetime of decent jobs is worth it to me.

my brother is about ready to quit because he's so sick of it. he's always studying. and he's poor. he wants to quit to get a job. has anyoen here quit shcool for a bit to get a job? if so how did it work out?

college sucks for me right now because I put off a lot of work that is due this week now i'm paying for it with working my ass off and crackin out on adderall. spring break next week though.... . .5 days. . . .12 pages. . .

my dad left school to work, came back and ended up being a professor for almost 30 years. I know a few others that have left to work and come back because they hated working more then school... but sometimes you need to see that before you can be motivated.

This is all just defeatist talk coming from everyone. You guys need to stick with school, it will be well worth it in the end.

Although it began as a private university, UVM attained quasi-public status with the passage of the Morrill Land-Grant College Act in 1862 and the addition of the State Agricultural College. Today, the university blends the traditions of both a private and public university, drawing 21 percent of its general fund (and about 10 percent of its current operating budget) from the state of Vermont.

Here's your problem. Chemistry 031 is probably the hardest class available to a freshman at UVM. It makes your entire semester hell. Last semester i had a 1.3, now I'm gonna get a 3.5.

I dont know what school you guys are going to but I go to the University of Colorado at Boulder and college fucking rocks!

Umm, last time I checked, wasn't that the point of college? To get out there, live on your own, make a future for yourself, and MEET NEW PEOPLE?

I just finished a 19 page report on Environmental Marketing Assessment. ^ hours on it today, and now I am on to preparing for a oral presentation in another class......Yah....FUN!!

But I have a 3.7 GPA so it is all good.
