I hate bindings

seriously. ski bindings are the worst. I've been saying it for years "If there is one thing about skiing that would make me quit forever and switch to snowboardings - it's the bindings".
Like, seriously - i don't think i've gone one season in the past 10 years without having binding issues.

tyrolia, marker, salomon, rossi, movement, plus i'm sure there's some more in the mix
- heal piece's ripping out, exploding (mostly 'cause breaks are good at breaking skis), cracking. toe pieces ripping out, exploding, cracking.
the breaks are one directional which - I think all of you on here can agree with me on this one - don't usually end well while falling switch.
there's so many damn moving part, all spring loaded - if one thing shifts in the binding it usually released something 'causing the whole fucking thing to start dropping pieces everywhere....
fuck - a snowboarder usually only has to replace a plastic strap while we got hunks of metal and springs flying all over the place.
and the whole non-compatibility from company to company...

ski skating you say.... my friend duncan and i each have a pair of ski boots this winter for the soul purpose of urban boot skiing. it's going to be uber cool.

The only thing i dont like about ski bindings is the non capadibility(sp) other than that i am fine. they have saved my knee many a times

You could beartrap yourself to the skis with tele bindings? If you dont mind the possibility of losing your knee
