I hat the Pacific Northwest.

HA^

do you remember seaon 2004/2005?

does the eastcoast have mountains opening right now: yes

Does the westcoast have mountains opening right now: no

and no colorado and utah are not west coast

east coast doesn't really have moutains opening, there is a tow rope in ct and a random mountain in nc. Some places are making snow, but any place open now will likely be re-closing after this week of warm weather, I realize 2 seasons ago was horrible out there, but east or west theres always somewhere worse...

don't complain dude. The longest run at my mountain takes 40 seconds from top to bottom if you are being aggressive. Oh yeah, and it usually icy. Oh yes, and there are 8 slopes. Oh yes, my terrain park has 4 features that are poorly made. Shall I continue?

are u kidding me, you guys have the best mountains and the best bud, relax and try to be patience. realize wat ur gona have in about a month

we have to best bud, and timberline does run year round, and last year we had over 12 feet of snow, but this is an el nino year for us

they say that every year....but holy shit its raining so hard right now. someone come pick me up and drive me to my next classss

First, all this rain is amazing for our snowpack. Second, according to the NOAA forecast, Tuesday it's suppose to start snowing. Third, be patient.

were just pissed because its raining here but dumping in colorado

oh well, guess we gotta wait

ok, people that say rain is good for snowpack dont know whats up. rain makes a solid snowpack, but its just better if snow accumulates on snow. but you are forgetting one thing: there is no fuckin snow. So its just rain on dirt. Even if there was snow, 10 inches (in one day) would destroy snow. so fuck this pineapple express shit

PNW is going through some hardcore warmth and precipitation right now, but according to reliable forecasts it is supposed to get cold and start snowing again in mid-November. Just keep your hopes up!

9,000ft snow level today and pouring rain. FUCK. any snow that was there is now gone....

last year, we were skiing waist deep on the god damn 4th. come on snow....

word. I got my info from the weather network, but apparently next monday its supposed to drop to minus 11ish and snow for a week straight. Byeahhgh

Bleah, this shit sucks, its flooding near my house in Duvall. Imagine how much snow is in 10 inches of rain...

i think the approximate estimate is that there is about 1 foot of snow per inch. Just remember that precipitation doesn't always mean it's snowing.

so 10 feet of snow would of been the best day of my life.....but sadly all i got today was soaking wet jeans

fo sho midwest(ohio) for me fucking blows so shut the fuck up go ski whistler or something

well. for casacade concreete (snow with about 25% water content) 1 inch or rain = about 16 inches of snow... now say in colorado.. 1 inch of rain would get about say 30 inches of snow... im not really worried.. i mean its shitting rain.. but its not after thanksgiving

You can't predict that far into the future, and for you people that say the mid west and east is worse when was the last time a main hill in your area never opened on season?

yeah..western N.Y, it sucks and im supposed to go to Tahoe this year in march..they better have enough snow so i can see what a real snowpack is like

you on crack? the snow level was around 11,000 feet today. there are only two mountains in washington, and only like 3 within 100 mile radius that are over 11,000 feet.

so there isnt any snow

anywhere

except glaciers

but theyre going to the wayside as well

we shall burn all pineapples in a ceramoney while doing the snow dance and peeing on a turtle drwan in the dirt(some indian rain dance thing, but we want snow so we have to piss a lot)

u try peeing on te turtle a lot?it may take a day or 2 but it will work. BURN THE PINEAPPLES AND PEE ON THE TURTLE DRAWN IN THE DIRT.

I think you may have beeten snoqualmie (04-05) with that 40 inches. by that I mean i doubt that snoqualmie go a full 40 inches (04-05)

check the forecast page, Hood is about to get hammered by storm after storm after storm.... I imagine meadows will open next saturday

too bad meadows got screwed right when it snowed a bunch. that must hurt.

oh and dont even try complaining about the NW or the East or the Midwest. here at mammoth all we have open is a ski lift and a bunch of rails GOSH.

kidding, of course.
