I got scared when...

I went to get my skis waxed and the shop guy looked at my bindings and said I need a new toe piece. Apparently there was a recall on some salomons, but then he figured out that I didn't, thank god. Although it might have worked in my favor if I need a new toe piece, cause I want new boots and then they would already be doing a mount.

But anyway, the shop had that salomon N the Knight ski, I hand flexed it and it felt like the extremes next it, and it has similar dimensions, I don't remember if it was cap or sidewall though. Maybe this ski will solve the suspects problems.

Also, although I think I need new boots, I think I have done something to make them last for this season. I tightened everything, micro adjustments included to maximum tightness. Is it bad if I have them tightened all the way on all four buckles to make them fit, otherwise I get major toe bang and heel lift, but now they're super tight and probably won't give me injuries (haven't skied yet though). And I even got these boots from a bootfitter, but now they don't fit quite well.

Moral of this thread; there needs to be a thread where people can post random stuff like this so I don't have to make a thread, and check your bindings for recalls I guess.

yeah the shop i work at has that recall out and we gotta check all salomon bindings! but it is very rare that there is actually a recall on bindings. the Knight ski can in no way be compared to the suspects (unless i missunderstood your post) the Knght ski actually has some "rocker" in it. its kinda like K2s "catch free" thing! in pretty sure its capped. the Knight from what ive been told is kinda like a step down from the Lord.
