I got pet ducks

My buddy gave me 3 male ducks that he didn't want. My plan was to eat them; duck is delicious. For some reason, for the first time in my life, before killing an animal to eat, I decided they were way too fucking chill. Now I have pet ducks.

So far, the best names we have are Duck Norris, Quackie Chan and Shane McHonkey

When i was a kid our neighbor bought some buffalo's for the plate but same thing happened and they became his pets. He died later and the buffalo's were sold and butchered after all.
 
My girlfriend had 2 ducks and they are the dirtiest smelliest animals. They literally just shit everywhere. A hawk swooped down and took both hers I guess to raise them as it’s babies.
 
my gf had indoor ducks when we first met. they were great but had really stinky poo so he gave them away.

duck eggs are fuggin huge too. way better than chicken eggs imo.

Great eggs for baking. Grew up with lots of ducks and chickens. Duck eggs for baking and chicken eggs for everything else.
 
Wow! they're so cool! I would get a goose because they are very cool. But I decided to get a dog and immediately faced the problem of fleas. i don't want to send baby chemicals, so i was puzzled to find a way to remove fleas using natural ingredients. Ok so since this thread got bumped i might as well give a duck update. After having the ducks for a few weeks and realizing that they are just walking shit factories, I couldn't take it anymore.

We took them to our friends cabin on stuart island. They lived there for a little while and then those folks went through the same dilemma I did and gave them away. They now live in Arlington.

Here's a picture of them on my friends boat on the way out to Stuart island. It was quite the adventure. We went from anacortes to Stuart island on this lil Boston whaler and it was pretty wild going through Rosario strait in a storm.

Hahaha I was so glad when my girlfriends walking shit factories go scooped up by a fox or some shit. Had to buy a pressure washer just to clean up after those nasty fucks.

Ducks are cute as babies tho. At my house yrs ago we had a whole militia of baby ducks wandering around our yard. They are cute but they take a shit every 30 seconds.

it would be cool if u could potty train them, but i dont think they are smart enough for that.

can you even potty train a parrot?

We have ducks too! they are honestly hilarious! three males is supposed to be ok. We have a male and two females, they fuck alot and its honestly hilarious. he'll mount them, do his thing than fall off, and they run around quacking like crazy after. The females mount each other too. lil freaks. They are Khaki Campbells, they have little poofs on top of their head and the males poof is all lopsided and coming out the side of his. I could deal with killing a chicken but yea, the ducks are too funny, lots of personality. Couldnt eat them. Good eggs though!

They taste pretty similar but the yolk is way bigger than the same size of chicken egg. Big fan of the duck egg.
