Yep just unwraped them. Seam pretty solid but we will see. The tail is turned up like the old gotama so I wonder how well it will ride switch but it is fat.

actually, i wrote that because iwanted to see what he was talking about with the tail being likee the previous gotamas

im interested

but i jumped on the bandwagon instead

Here they are compared to some chronic blends.

why the hell would he claim

and dude, those skis look pretty sick n solid. bet you cant wait to ski them

Heh, it's meant to be a big-mountain ski anyway, so I guess they didn't think people would need a more upturned tail. But I guess they thhought wrong, after Idea. :P haha

ZOMG LIKE OHH EM GEE WHY HAVEN'T MY DISTRICTS COME YET?!?!

haha i have a feeling there coming soon!

the tail doesnt bother me... I have Scratch BC and Seths which both have big tails so they are good for BC jibbing. But they are true center and +5 respectively so they arent amazing straight pow skiing. my bluehouse are getting mounted at suggested and they are going to be a pow only ski. so the tail isnt all that important.

The square tail is probably for skin attachement. It's nice for those of us who are using them as AT skis.

OP - what do they flex like? Any compairisons (e.g. pocket rocket soft, seth soft, etc.) Any blems?

Hope mine come soon...

they have an interesting flex to them. more flex in the tip and tail and the center is pretty solid. They are pretty soft though. They seam pretty tightly made there was an odd cracking cracking sound hard to explain when i flexed them the first few times. They are not as stiff as the seths but seam stiffer than the ole blue pocket rockets.

They are gigantic 187 is pretty huge and the tip and waist are beefy. They look like the will be fun and able to destroy powder.

Graphics are solid and there are no blimeshes at all in the construction. I feel pretty good about them for 250 but be aware that they will see a lot of punishment this season for bluehouse's sake. If there is a problem in the construction they will know about it from me.

Thanks again bluehouse.

that happens with almost every ski. new carbon, wood, plastic, metal fibers, etc., all bend, and the first few times you flex them they'll make sounds as you're breaking them in. some skis i've ridden actually make the cracking sound throughout the first few runs of their first day on snow. it's perfectly normal.

after handling all 500 pair i can say they look super super solid! really light softer flex but bamboo cored skis ski stifer than they flex in a shop!

Let me explain the tail. We wanted the District to have the longest running length possible while still enjoying the ability to land switch. By raising the tail abruptly, the District will ski longer than a full twin in its same length. We were constrained by the size of our presses this year, but with new additions, we can now make longer skis so a full twin that is a little longer will be possible.

Also just an FYI, the MR171s won't ship until tomorrow. We ran out of boxes and our supplier won't have the new ones to us until tomorrow.
