k it might not sound like much but i cried when i was opening the letter so ....im reallllyy yyyyyyyy happy. HOORAYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ahh yes, the oh so common (and incredibly pleasant) "I go to UVM so I'm better than you" attitude that accompanies so many students who got into UVM but couldn't get into a real Ivy league school. So refreshing to hear it again.
 
UVM isnt even close to being considered as a potential candidate to be elected as a school that gets compared to an ivy league school. UVM isnt really that good.
 
I know, but still, many people I went to school with had the idea that they were at a 'public ivy league institution' and had the elitist attitude that would come along with said ivy league school.
 
shit I thoughht everybody meant Champlain College on the south-shore of Montreal. I was like " Shit there's a lot of NSers living near me yea" and then I realized it was Champlain college in Burlington ...
 
congrats! if i go to UVM maybe ill see you around.

and yeah, UVM is nothing like an ivy. its like a B average high school poll of applicants.
 
haha, come on people, nobody heard about President Fogel claiming that UVM was on the way to becoming a "Public Ivy League School"?
 
what wrong with wanting the school to be good? its the top school in the state why cant i be good? even though as of now its a b average school.

THAT is what I've been referring to, and I assumed (poor assumption apparently) that other people realized this.
 
jesus man, reading comprehension. I didn't say there's anything wrong with it. If I could get into Harvard, I'd go. I was simply commenting on how some people at UVM (many, in my experience) act as though they attend such an ivy league institution, but instead, they are at UVM.
 
Thats fucking hilarious. UVM doesnt have a reputation anything like that...its way more pathetic. Its typically regarded as a stoner school, full of greenpeace, earthday activists. Dont ever mention 'Ivy' and 'UVM' in the same sentance again, ummmmkay?
 
ummm i dont even go to UVM i go to BU and i take back my statement bout it being better its just my opinion cause i like it beter but there is nothing wrong at all with champlain
