As to the I-Doser, its not a placebo effect. The binaural waves or whatever actually alter your brainwaves and give a measurable physiological change. They don't do what drugs do but they give a feeling similar to the feelings drugs give you.

The placebo effect is an effect simply caused by the power of suggestion. You drink some punch at a party with no alcohol but you think it has alcohol so you act drunk is an example of the placebo effect. iDoser is not.
