I don't know if that was directed to me or the thread creator, but still... I'm not stereotyping anyone, off course i know not every single mulatto (yes, that does sounds like something starbucks would make) call themselves black. I have several friends who have black and white parents, and some of them actually say they're half black half white if you ask them.
i understand that it's easier to just say they're black, but i'm not talking about the situations where you actually ask what skin color someone has. I'm talking about the situations the thread creator described, where people pull in stuff about black pride and stuff. I've had the phrase "Is it just because i'm black?" thrown in my face a few times by people i know have a white parent, and that's the stuff that pisses me off.
