It's true.. i emailed Levinthal cause this forum was going nuts over Wilson leaving. Jason put it simply in my question if wilson was leaving for real he goes 'true'. i am real curious why wilson left though.. i dunno? i doubt it's cause he wanted his own pro model.

I am sure they will just say it was because of 'personal' reasons and there is no reason for us to specualte whether it was because he wanted a promodel or didn't want to where thier bindings...or he had sex with someones wife, daughter, mother or all of the above..none of this really effects any of us as consumers

Guys, just look at the facts here. Line as a company cant afford to shell out big bucks to a rider like Wilson. On the other hand, Salomon (who just lost who I would assume is there highest paid freeride athleate) has some coin to throw around. Wilson made a move that anyone at his age would have, to a finacially secure inviorment.

that is the first person I have ever heard of leaving line and going to a different ski company. people have left or been dropped, but they were all pretty much retired.

Interesting. I would like to know as well. Its like someone else was saying its for us to speculate. If he left he did it on his own volition (bad spelling) I doubt it was because he couldnt have his own pro model.

If you are sponsored to do what you love to do why would you leave over something so petty as that??

'Bankroll?' Are you kidding me? The problem is nobody wants to pay Wilson. Period. How much has the kid actually skiied in the past 3 years? Think about how many years Line has given these guys a travel budget, and it's amounted to NOTHING. No comp. results. Barely any video or mag coverage.

skiers need to be more responsible they keep on swithcing from companies back and forth like transvesdykes(im not sure how to spell it but you know what i mean) Companies would be able to make better products and skis would be better because they'd get more input from their skiers. I dont like all this constant biddin which instantly makes the skiers switch companies even if they've been with a company for years.

 
Yea Wilson was still a pretty sick skier and wasnt exactly a flop for Line but like someone said it will be good to move other riders into the light see what they got!!

Pete is currently sulking around Mt. Hood, shooting with Poor Boyz Productions and hitting on Kristi Leskinen. She hates guys, Pete lamented, so it’s not going good. Apparently Canada isn’t the only thing that’s tough for Pete to get into.

He wanted to stay in their boots and bindings and Salomon no longer sponsors anyone unless they commit to the whole package. So he either had to find new boot sponsorship and ski the Reactor or take the chance at maybe getting a pro model from Salomon who can definitely pay him more. Kind of simple shit.
