I don't think I will ever be allowd to buy ski gear on the internet ever again..

So this yeard I got most of my new ski gear on the internet and last night mastercard called my mom and told her someone had taken some card information. Today my mom went shopping and they would not accept her card it was like it was empty... As this ever happened to you ? ?

Who did you order from, it likely wasn't the ski companies on the internet that made this happen.

well it can happen, basically they take your number and info and stuff and just use your credit card, usually the company contacts you and says there have been multiple purchases for a lot of money and they monitor your spending habits and where the card goes, so if you buy gas in 3 states in one day they'll call you to make sure nobody's stolen itwe've had our credit card stolen a few times, you just cancel it but i've never heard of it being empty, it might've just been temporality disactivated

I've had it disabled for out of country/state spending and stuff.

Most of that shit is just safeguards and 99.999999999999% of the time it is just a huge fucking hassle.

I actually had my debit card copied when i was in montreal for new years... had no idea, TD called me and asked me if I had made like a 500$ purchase, then i was like nope, refunded the entire amount.
