Honestly, I don't like the new setup for the site. The new searchbar and nav bar are fine, but the whole new blog thing and the removal of the
 
Legit post. I'm not happy with the new way to post things, it's really buggin' me. I like some of the changes, but some I'm just not happy with.
 
The whole system has been switched to HTML, and the little buttons above where we are typing, I don't know how to work them. I click but nothing happens.

Oh I can press enter now! When I was typing the post I couldn't.

But this new box still blows, and it loads considerably slower than the old one.
 
the only thing i do not really like is the replying box. i don't like how it doesn't have a solid outline around the outside and i don't like the new option things.
 
im sory but this just maks my night even worse

fucking dumb bitches playingwith my head and now i log onto ns fo some comfort and what do iget a complete stranger , not an old friend I really dont know what to think about this , i know how much work it must trake to update but its just not the same site
 
you can go to MY NS> account tools, and turn off the "fancy editor" which lets the reply box load faster, and takes away those box things
 
Also, what is the point of the karma? Why does NS even need it? How does it help the community, and how is it even skiing related? According to some of the other threads there is speculation that you gain karma by contributing overall to the site, but why do people need to know that you have 18,000 posts and have put 200 videos and pictures on NS?

Why not let people discover this for themselves? NS shouldn't be about creating legends through this 'karma' system, and it's not like the bad karma will get back at us if we go below 50.
 
I'm not sure how it's setup, but I don't know about higher karma for posting more videos and stuff. For example, I don't have a video camera, so therefore I don't upload videos. that doesn't make me a worse person that some shady ass mofo who has 349 videos however. if I were buying some goggles or something, I'd much rather buy from me, but the shady ass mofo could have higher karma. it has it's little flaws (again, I don't know how it's set up, I'm just speculating) but overall it can work. it's like a replacement for the good seller/buyer thread. higher karma= more legit I guess
 
you guys sound like a bunch of old whining bitties... so ironic, so funny.. I think the new site is super sick!!!
 
ya i dont like this new box that you have to type in. it seems way unnecessary, and i like how the old one was set up way more. its so much simpler and easier to use. I also hate how EVERY page takes so much longer to load then the old NS. that is the thing that really pisses me off is waiting so long for a page that would have shown up almost instantaneously before the update...
 
You can reset your reply box, go to my NS/account tools and then find "fancy editor" or something like that.

The site isn't so bad, though the karma thing and the trying to identify people thing bothers me, because NS isn't about meeting everyone on there basically. The post count just shows how much they've posted, and for the post-whores, you can usually tell who's cheated and who's posted legitimately over a long time.
