I dont know what to do. (unwanted new gopro)

Alight I have a dilemma, I live in Australia, my sister

bought me a gopro for the New York. I ask

specifically for a hero 2. I was so looking forward to getting it. She ended up getting me the old 1 (not hero2).

I cant return it and I havnt opened it

yet. (and im pretty sure my sister got ripped off and payed hero2 prices for

old camera but that’s a different issue). so i dont know wat to do.

Here are my options

Just put up with the one she bought be.

Try and sell, I know it probs wont go for that

much now its old technology

Buy the hero 2 and have 2 cameras. (very

expensive option)

Thoughts? Ideas?

I don’t know what to do

a helmet cam is a helmet cam and you aren't going to be making pro level shit so you don't need the absolute highest resolution possible
 
Well, the only big difference between the two is low light capacity of the hero2. It's 10times better. and the stabilisation is a bit better. Other than this, it's the same deal!
 
sounds like you're an inconsiderate brat. I will take the gopro if you don't want it. just deal with what you get
 
they are very similar. i have gotten some quality shots with my two 1st generation gopros. just learn how to use it better than everyone else. quality is still better than most things on the market anyway.
 
If you aren't interested in low light capability, you likely won't notice a difference.

Unless you're a really good filmer and you've just been holding out on us.

wow everyones very hateful haha, but yeah you won't notice a difference and arguably for skiing the hd1 is better, from what I've seen on a side-by-side comparison video, unless you're wanting the gopro 2 because you already have one and you want to film 3d then there's no point selling it.
 
You guys are assholes i don't know if you've ever tried filming at night with the go pro one vs the two but the two is 1000000000000000000000x better you can't see anything with the one and thhe two is perfect so stop hating.
 
you sound like you're about 12. your sister bought you a fucking expensive gift so stop whining and be grateful. the gopro 1 is not "old technology", the gopro 2 is just a marginally improved version. just because it's the latest version doesn't mean you have to have it, it won't make a blind bit of difference to your filming unless you're a pretty experienced filmmaker who can actually utilise the difference.

i highly doubt it'd be difficult to sell, but i know for a fact if my sister bought me a gopro and i just sold it straight off she'd be pretty hurt.

keep it, enjoy it, make edits of you and your friends having fun and for god's sake stop being such a little bitch.

He's not being a little bitch. Why is everyone hating? He wants the 2 and she bought him the 1. He's not complaining that his sister bought the GoPro, he's just saying he wants the 2 instead of the 1 and is trying to figure out the best option. If my sister bought me a pair of skis that were some Afterbangs when I want some pow skis I'd be pumped that I got skis but I'd also do what I can to get rid of the Abangs to get some pow skis. Stop being a bunch of haters and just help the kid.

OP if I had any ideas for you I'd tell you, but I don't so good luck.
 
just for the record i not a spoilt brat, my sister bought the gopro for the US to try and save some $$ for me i have already paid her back 100%. im now using the gopro she got me.

OP, you didn't get what you wanted, you know your family, we dont. Is your sister going to be upset if you sell it? Maybe, but only you know.

Everybody else, yes hes being a little bitchy, but he has a a reason (it may be stupid), but that is not up to you.
