ive owned twintips for 3 seasons now and i will only have been able to use them for one and a half. To make a long story short my first day rideing park, first day of the season, 2 years ago i dislocated my shoulder because i messed it up in a fight a couple weeks before. I did pt for 2 months hard and went skiing again and redislocated my shoulder again. I missed that whole season waiting for surury and then dealing with 6 month recovery. It killed me to miss the whole season. I became very depressed and almost killed myself. Then last year after recovery was my first whole season. I progressed well.. i went from that gaper/fagit that goes straight onto boxes to becomeing decent enough to 2 onto some boxes and other decent things and i got well enough to 3 the biggest jumps around. I wasent amazing but i was so proud of myself. I really loved skiing and it became a big part of my life. So then this season comes by and it had been the best season of my life. I totally gave any extra time i had to ski and im going to straight up say i got very good and starte placing in the local railjams. Then last night i 2d onto a rail caught my edge an whipped my body ito the rail and redislocated my shoulder. I dont know what to do. Im going to haveto get surgury again most likely and my seasons over. This has been the most progressive, best season of my life and its done. If i wait for like 2 months and do pt my shoulder will almost definiyly redislocate and ill just loose more time. I love skiing so much and i dont know what im going to do without it, all i do when im not skiing is think about skiing. Im like absessed with it. Its been 1 day and im already feeling like shit because i know my seasons over. I just dont know if i should keep skiing now to ecause of my shoulder, and if it will be worth it in the end. The doctor told me to quit skiing and that already when im 25 i will have arthretis in my shoulder. Ns i need some help to know if i should keep skiing. I typed this whole thing with my left hand because my right is in a brace. Fuck i just want to die right now

wow dude im sorry .. get into to video taping and what not so u an still be around skiing ... start skating in the summer or bmx ... worst comes to worst u can try masturbating lefty

Seriously? You let a dislocated shoulder get in the way of your season. I've dislocated my shoulder 5 times this season, never had surgery and still keep skiing. My parents couldn't afford surgery so the only way to stop dislocating my shoulder is either lift weights or quit skiing and I sure as hell am not going to stop skiing or pick up anything heavier than I have to so you know what I do? I just act like it doesn't matter and just keep skiing.

Just go out there and don't think about it. After the 3rd or 4th time you can pull the sucker back in yourself. I would also suggest not getting surgery again. It's costly and you can get the same result by lifting weights and making the muscle stronger. If you can do 40 push ups and 20 pull ups then you should be pretty set.

hwy man, dont give up keep going. im in the same place as you, ive had two big injuries in the last 3 years. ive lacerated my kidney and i had acl surgery yesterday, but i wil never stop sking, ever. skiing is what you love, so get your surgery done and get back on it next year, im right here with you.

yea fo sho dawg. just look at Sir Tanner Hall. breaking both ankles at once, that mustve sucked. if its what you like, you'll find a way to keep doing it.

this is gonna sound super harsh so im sorry if i sound like a dick.
quit being a bitch.

my dad has been skiing with no cartiledge at all in both knees for the past 10 years.
and so many people have taken worse slams than you.
and about your shit about having to type left handed. my left hand i the only one that works, and its permanent, so get the fuck over yourself.

my dad used to have massive dislocation problems... it started coming out all the time like when he was doing situps or anything. then he got shoulder surgery a couple years ago and he hasn't had ANY problems with it. I wouldn't sweat it. getting shoulder surgery could be the best thing that ever happened to you

"I typed this whole thing with my left hand because my right is in a brace. Fuck i just want to die right now"
are there teardrops on your keyboard too?
p.s. ur doctor is wack to tell you quit skiing for a shoulder injury

Is it really a big deal if you never 270 on/off or even ever do a rail again if it means you keep skiing? There are so many ways you can be creative and have fun while on your skis whether it's nifty little butters on rollers and on the flats or carving switch down the hill (my personal favorite). I know it's awesome progressing your tricks and stuff but it isn't the end of the world if you can't anymore. That being said, I hope surgery goes well (if you have it) and you can build some serious muscle (whether you have surgery or not). Good luck man.
