So from the last thread, I got the blackberry off ebay but the guy totally fucked up. The description of the product was an outright lie, pieces (charger, car charger etc) that were promised are missing and worst of all the phone has major software problems.

How do I deal with this? The guy isn't responding to messages or anything, do I claim it on paypal without letting him know? I'm pretty fucking ticked at this guy, whoever he is deserves to pay.

 
If you have emails from him, it should contain his IP address, from that you should be able to get his real address, and then it's your call from there. Threaten to call the cops or something.
 
when this happened to me, i bought an ipod and never revieved anything. i filed a complaint through paypal i think and only got like 70% of my money back, you get fucked over. sucks but at least its something.
 
some guy did that to me with a video game ebay doesnt like it and im pretty sure they can kick him off but next time look at his seller rating usually it shows if hes a rip off
 
you got fucked over, if you would have gotten fucked, ur anus would be ripped apart, and you wouldnt need to ask us. lol
 
You can file a dispute with Ebay, which takes care of alot, and you can file a Paypal claim in conjunction. It works really well.
 
this is your best bet, usually ebay is pretty good about giving you your money back with paypal.
 
it can be a hacked ebay account..... find his ip adress and real adress and then we can all fuck him over????
 
In you email title make sure you say: "24hrs to respond or cops are called." Then he can't ignore it.

Make sure you put deadlines on everything....and make sure he sticks to them.

You can't find someones location based on their IP, general area within like 30-50 miles....yeah.

No you handle this by going to Paypal, making a claim, and paypal will open a dispute. The guys account will get frozen, he won't be able to do shit with his paypal account until he settles with you. Don't leave ebay feedback until this is resolved also.

Only way to get the IP owners info is to find out what ISP owns the IP address and then get a subpoena from a judge to get the information of the owner. I know this cause I work at an ISP.

If you sent him money you know where he lives anyways.......or at least what he told paypal.

They don't even know how to do the paperwork on that shit bro........seriously. Plus it is across state lines so its federal now..........

and I am sure the FBI gives a flying fuck over an inaccurately described phone.
