ok here is the story. I live in LA and i work at a snowboard shop. we sell oldschool ski cloathing and then we sell everything burton, AK, Ronin, R.E.D, MArk XIII and all other stuff burton

snowboarders are our biggest customers.

I am a skier. and I always have all my issues of Freeskier and I usually have a couple of my movies with my laptop Teddybear Crisis, War, Shanghai Six and soforth.

I love skiing more than anything in the world and anytime i can share what i feel while skiing I do. I have given away countless copies of Freeskier and loaned movies countless times also.

well today a guy who had come a couple months ago who had been snowboarding for 7 years came in wearing an Armada T-shirt, and came just to see me just to tell me thank you. back in january when he came to buy a snowboard I showed him a freeskier magazine and 2 segments from Teddybear Crisis.

he rode his board 2 days then demoed some twin tips (first time he was on skis)

a weak later he was converted. he sold his Burton custom X bought a pair of AR5s and he has been a skier ever since.

him thanking me for introducing him to skiing was probably one of the best fealings in the world.

I love skiing and since i seriously cant say it enough ill say again: I LOVE SKIING

Snowboarding is also great and its just a matter of what you like to do. when I share skiing with others its not to convert them, its to showthem the type of skiing that I love that most people dont seem to know about.

most skiiers (who are usually 30 years old and over) are usually suprised when I say that I ski, they say that they wouldnt expect a young person to ski, thats when I bust out the freeskier and the vids not to convert them since their already skiers but to show them whats out there.

also im definitly not Anti snowboarding

ive been trying to move to a ski town (but I need a roomate) and when I finally get to a ski town I will definitly be buying a snowboard so that I can snowboard every now and then.

ohh and if anyone is in need of a roomate in a GOOD ski area PM me im talking place like Tahoe, Mamoth, Utah, and soforth.

i was actually converted the other way. but it wasnt because i didnt like skiing, because i like skiing more than snowboarding, i just sucked at it, and wasnt getting any better.

lame i know, but snowboardings so sick. im definately not anti skier though

it feels great when you convert people. I have succesfully converted 2 yes 2 of my friends. I guess i just have a nack for it.

yeah my gf used to snowboard. i finally convinced to to try on some skis. 1st time on skis, she was skiing parallel by the bottom of the first run. (shes a really good skater and that really helped). skiing almost switch parallel by the end of the first night. so i put her on my sisters twins. and know she has her owns twins
