I concede defeat.

Most of you know I'm an adamant Kerry supporter.

But I have come to a conclusion.

After reading the paper and paying close attention to the news for many months previous to this. I have lost faith in the American people.

I have heard, and seen some very very outrageous things from many voters, and so I'm here to tell you: As badly as I want John Kerry to emerge victorious this Tuesday,

I have resigned myself to a George W Bush victory.

i too came to the realization that over half of our country are a bunch of blithering idiots. i thought for a second that most people dumb enough to vote for bush might also not have the brain power to fill in the correct box on a voting ballot, but that would be like expecting bush to do something that benefit the country in some way shape or form, and i neither of these things are ever going to happen

On that somber note I would like to bring you all a fine quote by Art Spander.

'The great thing about democracy is that it gives every voter a chance to do something stupid.'

Enjoy your 4 more years fools.

I'm not totally resigned to defeat yet, although I'll be unsurprised no mater what the outcome is. I've seen pollsters who are absolutely CONVINCED of a Kerry victory... so I'll reserve judgment.

The reason I have lost faith in the American people is due to posts like yours. You're right. You are all fucked, but not because of a certain individual being elected. Or shall we say, re-elected.

Bush is probably just going to cheat again...that lying sack of smurf.

The truth is...I kick ass. Simple as that.

i cant wait for the outcome... something is gonna go down... its gonna be crazy im callin it now.. either some illegal voting, some multi-hack, something crazy.. shiit imagine if someone had the capabilities to hack the vote.. that would be a good movie..

The Michael Jordan, the Babe Ruth, The Wayne Gretzky of Newschoolers.com idiots needs no introduction.... but here\\\'s one anyways. John Andrew Steward, a rich kid from Georgia, will not hesitate for a moment to tell you exactly what he\\\'s thinking (and I use that term loosely). His over 2000 posts make him one of the most prolific retards on our list, and he\\\'s become something of a legend on this website, representing the ever-growing intellectually devoid section of the membership here at NS.com. In fact, when the Golden Wheelchair award was first conceived, there was some talk of naming it after him, as a dedication. Also among his qualifications are his being named so often to Crystal-Needs-A-Park\\\'s honorary hall of fame for stupid posts, that the proprietor was forced to abandon the project: Atlantaski simply flooded it too quickly. Further, he had more entries into the original Hall of Fame for Stupid Posts than any other member of Newschoolers.com. Though he went into temporary retirement a few months ago, he has recently returned with a vengeance and, far from missing a beat, has stepped his stupidity up to new heights, recently capturing a GW award for mocking Trevor Peterson. He is fully deserving of his place near the top of this list

but the packers won today. since 1936 the redskins game before the election has predicted the outcoem correctly. if the skins win then the incumbent wins but if their opponent wins then the challenging party wins. the redskins lost this year to the packers and if the same thing happens, kerry will win.

Apparently I need to explain that somewhat, especially now that I realize the situation. Probably should have been able to guess that from the name too. Damn I hate explaining.

I think America is looking f ed because some of these people are so into their parties (hmmm I think there is a word for that) that they almost hate anyone who isn't. This time around more than ever. 'I hate Bush.' 'I hate Kerry.' 'If you vote for ____________ I hate you.' It is almost sad to see a country so passionately divided.

Take a page out of my 'redneck' book, don't hate, seperate.

For me at least, its a very scary thought to have Bush back in office for four more years. Sometimes I wonder that if there wasn't an election going on there would be slightly louder rumblings amongst certain congress members to move to impeachment on the basis of using falsified information as justification for the war, and then refusing to admit to it. If that is indeed worthy of impeachment, I don't know, but it would be a curious thing all the same.

Moreover, what scares me about Bush is his evangelism, 'resolve' (in my opinion ignorance), simplicity, hegemony of US based contracts in Iraq, blatant violations of Federalism, slim and fickle environmental agenda, NCLB, not backing stem cell research (hints at a scientifically regressive attitude), tax cuts for the rich, tax cuts during a war, horrible judgement in Iraq in the planning process, undersupplied ground troops, dumming down insurgent threats, making outlandish promises concerning security, ... that's all that comes off my head right now. But, scary next four years in my eyes.

(If I could) I'd vote Kerry.

there was no falsified information, bush was acting on inteligence reports which turned out to be incorrect. falsified sounds like he just made that up.

Dont forget kerry voted for the war using the same intel as bush.

Well Sim hit the nail on the head. Do you guys really think your lives are going to change that much depending upon who becomes president? Im not trying to say it doesn't make a difference but you guys are acting like the world is coming to an end of bush/kerry wins.

Sims is right about that whole party thing. Its not whats right and whats wrong, its YOU STUPID CONSERVATIVE/LIBERAL. The only thing that brings all of us dumbasses together is tragedy. Its really sad actually. I think both kerry and bush will do a fine job.

http://www.electoral-vote.com/

Some one link that I'm way to lazy. It takes the polls from all the states and then shows you who will win the electoral college vote, what basically matters, and not who is winning the popular vote. Its a really good site and is updated everday.

EC-Andrew:

'undersupplied ground troops'

When Kerry voted against the $87 billion to go to Iraq? When the reason he voted against it was in PROTEST of the war? And yet he approved of going into Iraq in the first place... This is why Kerry is just no a valid candidate for me.

the point is not the immediate effect on our lives. the point is the stance our nation decides to take on future action. if we state to the world that what we want is this boorish, dogmatic glutton to be our leader, again... then i think were headed for some real trouible. not that kerry is that much better as a person or leader, but if hes elected it shows a much different national outlook and opinion of ourselves.

we broke down the electoral college votes in my government class, and it came out taht it was A LOT closer than people think. Basically it will come down to who wins Ohio and florida... and if senior citizens learn how to vote this year...i think the miserable 4 years you guys are talking about....wont come

DynstrTM thats because its breaking it down by teh electoral votes and judging who wins by that and not the amount of people voting for each person.

I just cannot undestand why some americans will vote for Bush even though they dont understand what he is doing. My grandma, for example, was raised republican, votes republican, but has democratic beliefs. She's an idiot, I know, but I hate thinking about how many other sorry idiots there are that will do the same thing. Bush is most likely the most hated man in the world, yet half our country is voting for him. Maybe there should be two candidates per party, that way we can at least hope for the lesser jackass to get elected.

yeah i can't stand all of these blind party followers. our nation is so divided. people follow their party and ignore it's faults and jump all over the opposing one. it's ridiculous, people are getting way to worked up about this. did you here about the kid who beat up his girlfriend because she was voting for kerry? i saw it on the news yesterday.

Would you say that you hate bush more than someone, like saddam, or castro. I know those guys really represent liberty and freedom...but

the vote truly is a litmus test of whether or not americans really are that dumb. however, as a canadian I hope bush wins because every day he spends in office, the weaker the american economy, military and culture as a whole becomes. Bush is a handicap to america serving to limit the 'super' powers of the US. go bush!

'When Kerry voted against the $87 billion to go to Iraq? When the reason he voted against it was in 'PROTEST of the war? And yet he approved of going into Iraq in the first place... This is why Kerry is just no a valid candidate for me.'

Kerry voted for going to war with UN support. Bush failed to get UN support. Kerry did not support going to war without UN support. Bush lead us to war without UN support. Now everyone believes that Kerry can't make up his mind.

Everyone getting all roudy about politics in an election year is a good thing. Sure it gets pretty crazy some times, but it really helps people get out there and vote. It makes it such an issue. It makes it somewhat entertaining to follow the candidates. If nobody cared who got elected, voter turnout would much lower. It doesen't matter who wins if only 25 percent of people are making the decision.
