I can go...

.. anywhere in the world. It is a present from my mom and dad. A roundtrip plane ticket to any place i desire. The thought of choosing just one place is overwhelming. But here are some guidelines; I'm going to go summer of 09', I want to ski, and I want there to be a town close to a mountain that i can party in.

So help me pick a sick spot to spend my time!

and begin

well considering most of ns is northern hemisphere you wont get too great of an answer. the southern hemisphere is where its at in the summer. so maybe find someone who has been to like chille or argentina and ask them about their trip. or new zealand even.

^shes from jackson hole

ok heres what i would say... skiing is sick but if you have a chance to go anywhere i would not only think of skiing destinations. Becky fuckin eh, you have a sick ass oppurtunity you should go to africa (i no thats i little clique) but there are a lot of cool places that do not have snow involved. South America could be cool, but its not that expensive anyway so id save that for later

id go to tokyo, its no snow, but its pretty much the coolest place in the world you could ever go

The first two posters should change their icons...

And if you live in Jackson Hole you prob get so many sick skiing days that you'd be disappointed about the quality in most of the southern hemisphere (just guessing never been to JH nor Southern hemisphere) so maybe you should look some sick places where you cant ski also.

Ok some one made a good point about my skiing ritual in Jackson. You are probably right I would be dissappointed with the ski condition anywhere else, so now Just anywhere sick. But also keep in mind I'm going alone, so Tucker, Africa would be a little too scary i think maybe. I really just don't know.

haha becky would get aids.... no i dunno, i just think there are a lot of place, some third world that you will truely have a life changing experience, i would want to got to india. but that could be interesting if ur alone

The skiing in Chile is sick and there is Santiago no too far from the resorts that you could party in but the language barrier might be a problem. You should hit up like Peru or something like that also if you go to chile so you can ski and have a cool experience

Places to go if you don't feel like skiing, but might like to try something new like surfing, sailing or out-smarting West Nile Virus:

- Morocco

- SUMATRA

- Laos

- Vietnam

- Cambodia

- Thailand

- Costa Rica

- Brazil (Rio de Janero, Sop Paolo or Brasilia)

- The Inca Trail

- Buenos Aires

- Bali (or anywhere in Indo)

- The Galapagos Islands

Places that are cool... for one day:

- Athens

But Google Images Sumatra. That's my next destination.

its always been a summer dream of mine to go skiing in the summer in New Zealand, so IMHO i would say new zeland

ive honestly always wanted to go to greenland. or spain, or lake titticocka(its in brazil i think)

if you decide to come to NZ, i would suggest that you do somewhat of a tour. maybe spend a week or so heading down from Auckland, check out places like the thermal mud baths and hot springs etc in taupo and rotorua(so many sweet things to do in these places, bungy jumping, zorbing, ziplines and all that sort of stuff) , ski a day or two at Mt Ruapehu and party in Ohakune, keep on touring down through to the South Island, go see the seals and dolphins and whales etc in Kaikoura, and maybe just tour the club ski fields and Mt Hutt etc until you end up in Wanaka, and spend however long skiing the fields down there. Also, expect to drink. a lot. huge drinking culture down here

Exactly. Theres so much to see and do in NZ it would be totally worth it. I did 2 weeks there and could have stayed 6 months and not done everything

Wherever you end up going I think you should take me with you...

Just ask your parents to cover my costs, I'm sure they'll be down

i havent been there, im going next summer, scandinavia is; Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark
with Russia, Estoniah, Germany, Holland etc. fairly close.

so, really northern europe.

itd be a great way to experience a very differrent culture without a huge language barrier.

I too can go anywhere in the world. my friend is giving me a ticket to anywhere I want. he works for an airline and gets 8 tickets a year to give away.

I'm gonna go to japan or nicaragua.

if its during the summer, it has to be southern hemisphere.

I'd do enzed and oz. (nz and aus). They are incredible places, both have snow, the culture is SUUUPER laid back... so many cool places to check out in both countries.

So.. I'd check out places like Christchurch, NZ. Melbourne, Aus. Sydney, Aus. and shit like that.

I'd save chile and argentina for later... those places are always going to be a little more inexpensive

You might even want to tour South Africa. That place is ILLIN. So much culture and shit. Check out Capetown and Johanasberg. I even hear they have a place there with some gnarly skiing.

There are tons of places to check out. I'm sure you'll find something sick...

Whatever you do, dont go to Dubai. That place would suck

I would say New Zealand like everyone else, because you wanna go all out on this, and itl be winter there so you can ski. I'm guessing it would be a lot easier/cheaper to go to Europe, so you should definitely go there sometime, but for now I say go across the world and check out NZ, especially if your parents are paying for it.

denmark, norway, sweden=where you should go. fly into copenhagen and rent a car and take the train plus theres an awesome party scene.

If you can go ANYWHERE dont worry about skiing. Go to South Africa or something. The best trip of my life, even without skiing.

Everyone has to see Victoria Falls, between Zambia and Zimbabwe (southern africa), it is the most amazing piece of nature i have ever seen. And it kicks the shit out of niagra falls.

Then you need to stay in a tribal village for a few days and live with the villagers. Most tourists never meet the real africa, so make sure you get off the beaten path. It will rock your world.

And i think you can ski in norway during the summer. Stryn anyone? And the culture in scandinavia is a similar western culture that probably in the us. I can answer some questions about scandinavia if you're thinking about it.
