Scratch this post, it was taken from a different site. but still "one photo was taken down". It says she is going after facebook? Type in "downsyndrome meme" into google and see the thousands of sites this is on.....good luck mommy and daddy.
 
I was expecting to be taken to a site where her response was something like 'blagargarg' but in high school we got in big trouble for taking pics of some retarded kids, cause we need tons of special permissions from their parents& guardians, I learned a lot that day. So now the yearbook is slim with pictures of Adam, the funniest/ contest downs syndrome guy I ever knew

I fucking hate when people post that meme, it's so damn disrespectful. That is a person, if they had the choice to be normal or to have DS what the fuck do you think they would choose? As a matter of fact many people with DS are very high functioning they know what's going on, so it sucks that this girl has to see herself being ridiculed/laughed at world wide. I guarantee it happens and has happened enough in her life that she doesn't need a world stage to be laughed at. Whatever though /rant.
 
If you red the article, you would know the family uploaded the picture of the girl on a website. And what we all have learned in our journey on the interweb is that once something reaches the internet its not directly your property anymore and people can do what the fuck they want with it. Parents didn't want their kid to be laughed at? Fine, then why put a picture on the internet? Its like putting the kid at the center of time square only to start yelling at every person giving her funny looks. I hate to say it but, welcome to the internet.
 
I did *read the article. It was on a website for a parent support group for parents with children with DS. Don't be such a dumb ass please.
 
My question is, why the fuck do you get your news from the Sun. Ive seen links to that site multiple times on newschoolers and holy hell is it written by middle school students.
 
Ive never seen the "lose your virginity" meme though. Just the potato one and my favorite flavor is helmet.
 
I for sure agree with you. I have had friends with DS and they were actually all pretty cool. But the mean shit/stuff people said to them all the time was terrible. People act or think that just because they have an awful syndrome that will affect them for the rest of their life that they aren't the exact same as all of us.
 
You, Sir, are a hypocrit. You are raging on people for stereotyping and grouping, yet that is exactly how you conclude your argument. You are attempting to refute and rebut the idea that all DS children are mean and non-pure (where was this even said?) by saying that all DS children are nicer and more pure than all non-DS children. Again I put it to you - you are a moron.
 
I have a handicapped cousin, and honestly I don't find this offensive. I don't really find any jokes offensive though, I take it in good humor, and I know I'll probably get raped for this response but it's just my two cents. Honestly if I knew the kid I would never make or laugh at it, it's just a funny photo, and don't take it so personal.

It wouldn't be funny if she was sad.....but look how happy she is! So what if she has her own meme, I'm sure people don't recognize her in public for it, so what's wrong with having a chuckle? If it was hurting her directly, I would feel different, but it seems like her parents are going out of their way to feel offended. I'm sure the media attention is exactly what they want.

 
I work with people who are MR, and they are the chillest people around. I showed the picture to a a good friend of mine who is MR and he laughed.

Really this family is just seeking attention

All the people I know who are MR want to be treated like normal, and still have the best since of humor of anyone.
