I can control my dreams

yeah i can control my dreams to a degree and sorta wake up on command when things start going bad, but if i've never done whatever in real life, my mind makes some sucky knockoff even dream me can tell isnt really what its like. luckily ive had sex/been high/all that so i can replicate that pretty well lol

I had a nightmare about a bear and kicked it as hard as I could and suddenly i was awake and confused and then I remembered the dream and I had broken my two longest toes on my right foot by kicking my bed frame.

since then I always make sure not to sleep on my stomach so I cant kick the bed.

I think it helps to not be overly exhausted and to be a little bit on edge. For example, I can almost never control my dreams when I go to bed for the night, but when I nap in class, I can do it pretty well. After I take some test, I usually just put my head on the desk and catch a nap. I'm always a little bit worried that somebody will fuck with me or the teacher will get mad, ect. I feel like this makes me more aware and causes me to sleep very lightly. Whatever I'm thinking about when I drift off I will then dream about, and usually realize that I'm dreaming, allowing me to control it pretty well. Usually though I cant completely control it, only make the dream go off on ridiculous tangents that have little to do with the original thoughts. Same for anybody else?

this isnt a dream, its a sort of heightened sensory memory that occurrs within the first part of sleep, you have to train your body to reach dream sleep sooner or you can not dream like you just stated you did

i dont remember any of the technical terms or details but we learned all about this stuff in psychology last year
