I boguht A Wool Jacket....what do i do

Okay so at winners they had this super sick long wool parka with a nice inner liner and stuff for 79$ regular 250$..so i snaed it and bought it...but the thing is..what do i do like..its not water proof and i can only dry clean it....how do i deal with this jacket???is there anythign i can put on it to make it water proof???

this is probably not the answer you are looking for but dont ski in the rain and dont fall and your coat will pretty much stay in mint condition

just ask around some clothing stores or something, your bound to find what you need to keep the jacket safe
 
Actually, put it in the washing machine and set the heat to High, make sure to dry it super long and hot too.

and then send it to a midget plantation.
 
no its wool so its super warm and when its cold out its good but when itls mild and it gets wet it will smeel and shit
 
what jacket did you get? brand and model? we can't even begin to answer that if you just tell us "it's a wool ski jacket that will smell like yeti piss if it gets wet"... that's about every wool anything ever made.
 
I agree with the "don't ski in the rain and don't fall" comment! You don't have to get wet, you're not a snowboarder FFS!
 
It actually could have a good waterproofing, because there are ways to make fabrics that aren't normally waterproof be waterproof. That is why you see corduroy and other fabrics on ski jackets now, and not 10 years ago. Does it say what the waterproofing rating is, or is if doesn't, give us the jacket model.

I really don't know if it will help, but if it isn't waterproof, you could wash it with some NikWax stuff you put in a washing machine. They also make a spray that adds to waterproofing. You can find those things at a few ski shops, but not all carry them.

dude, i just bought a fur jacket on ebay for 58 bucks thats 5xl, i wear it skiing now... but you just have to remember not to fall and dont wear it when it rains or snows
