Ya there are a few around my mountain, but they don't power the chairlifts. They actually just got up-graded and now they are HUGE.
 
No, my home mountain does not. But, it does have more than 1100 feet of vertical. jk... That's cool they have a wind turbine.
 
word! the hood isn't as ghetto as you'd think, rather.. environmentally friendly! vista express is entirely solar powered i believe.

I guess when you ski on an ugly east coast hill, seeing a wind turbine is something to talk about. When you are skiing in the cottonwoods, all it takes to be impressed is the view of the terrain your about to ski.
 
i doubt it'll do anything for us, it'll lower mountains costs.... in a while. that thing woulda costed millions, lots of money. i doubt it'll come back to us anytime soon
 
That is such a good idea...some ski mountains are using wind energy from windfarmers to provide for less energy cost and emissions
 
if by cheap you mean it costs about $1 milliion just to install one turbine... not to mention maintainence costs

but yes im all for it... its an awesome source of energy.
