As some may know, and others don't, i have quit drinking and have just recently quit smoking so i was at a party the other night, with a range of 14-17 year olds ish and of course there was some heavy drinking and smoking so im pretty sure i was the only person there able to complete sentences so the music apparently was a little too loud since we were in this like little yacht club house thing and the cops came with several complaints from neighbors and the knock on the door comes. One of my not too sober friends opens the door then bolts to the back door, where of course the cops are already in place when several teenagers came flying out of the doors like (place witty metaphor here). So i of course step up to the plate and start to talk to the cops who question everything thats happening, i was like no alcohol and they wanted to administer breathalysers until they realized that i knew that they couldn't without a reason. so then to get their minds off the party i started talking small talk about schools where they went, how the job was how it paid, etc. until finally i had them laughing until they eventually left. Some of the parents weren't as convinced and so they agreed to not call the cops if we turned down the music. if that doesn't convince people that not drinking has its upsides, i dunno what will
